Role Description Grodan, a division of ROCKWOOL Group, is seeking a Commercial Account Manager, based in Vancouver with a territory of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, to join our growing team. This position reports to the Commercial Sales Director for North America and has no direct reports. This is a remote role requiring 15% travel. In this role, you will: - Develop and maintain relationships with clients and strategic partners within the greenhouse industry. - Nurture and build sales within the Hydroponic Vegetable and Cannabis markets. - Work closely with a talented team of Supply Chain, Customer Service and Marketing professionals. - Identify opportunities, formulate strategic goals and market approaches, and create sales action plans. - Sell products and services using technical, organizational, and client/market knowledge. - Assist clients in applying the products/services to their needs. - Achieve sales goals (invoiced sales, price increases, EBIT, and market share). - Develop and foster strong relationships with existing and potential clients (A/B), dealers, and important influencers. - Manage a portfolio of clients including key account management. - Maintain and update CRM software on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy. - Remain current in market knowledge, update and give pro-active feedback regarding new developments and opportunities. - Identify and report progress and discuss threats, opportunities, and corrective actions. Qualifications - Business/horticultural related post-secondary education or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years of horticulture sales experience, preferred. - Ability to continuously learn and adapt to a dynamic market. - Consult as a technical advisor and offer tailored solutions while communicating good knowledge of products. - Develop and deliver presentations. - Ability to travel up to 15%.
