Job Description

Enterprise Purchasing Coordinator

VSC Fire & Security, Inc.

• Coordinate, order, and record material handling, placing product orders, receiving, storage, and record keeping for meeting needs of division projects. • Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies. • Review all receiving reports, checks bills of lading and freight bills for correct quantity and items delivered. Document all shipments and withdrawals and inspect for damage or errors.

Job Requirements

  • Two to five years of related experience with logistics and ordering.
  • Excellent record keeping skills and knowledge of how a warehouse and job sites operate.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor for internal and external transactions.

Volunteer for shift coverage as appropriate. • Search for and maintain knowledge of parts availability within the aviation industry through existing and future vendor selections. • Understand supply performance and cost savings. • As requested, prepare Monthly Activity Report identifying cost saving, buyer activity, vendor activity, etc. • Continually assess operations to optimize the purchasing and logistics processes through identifying cost reduction opportunities for Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts. • Qualify and approve vendors as determined by need to increase competition, improve quality of the product, or to improve lead times using selected quality criteria. • Maintain accurate data in AvSight, Salesforce, and AMS. • As required, work with vendors and customers on RMAs/Returns. • Follow assigned policies & procedures.
