Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Procurement & Subcontracts (M&S) to lead critical supply chain activities in support of complex and sensitive defense programs. This role is heavily focused on classified program execution, supplier readiness, and disciplined procurement operations that meet stringent national security requirements. You will provide senior‑level leadership across procurement execution, subcontract management, and sourcing strategy for a major business area, ensuring success on programs where security, schedule, and mission assurance are paramount. Key Responsibilities: - Lead procurement and subcontracting activities for a major program portfolio that includes multiple classified and special access programs, ensuring compliance with all security, export, and regulatory requirements. - Oversee $150M–$300M in annual classified and unclassified material and services procurement, ensuring supply continuity and mission readiness for high‑priority national security programs. - Develop sourcing and supplier strategies specifically tailored to classified program needs, including secure supply chains, controlled information flow, and rapid‑response capability. - Manage a senior team of managers and procurement professionals supporting restricted‑access contract environments. - Ensure procurement compliance with FAR/DFARS and customer‑specific security requirements, including handling of classified subcontract documents, secure procurement processes, and facility clearance alignment. - Guide negotiations and subcontract strategies for sensitive or high‑risk suppliers supporting classified development, test, production, and sustainment efforts. - Lead supplier performance management for classified programs, including secure QBRs, risk reviews, and corrective action plans. - Drive cross‑functional collaboration with secure program offices, engineering, quality, security, and finance to align procurement actions with mission and security priorities. - Support supplier development and qualification activities for classified and rapid‑reaction programs with accelerated timelines. - Oversee risk management across assigned programs with specific focus on cybersecurity, export control, supply chain integrity, and NISPOM compliance. - Represent Procurement and Subcontracts in classified customer engagements, program reviews, and executive briefings, communicating secure sourcing strategies and program status. - Lead talent development for procurement personnel supporting classified work, including secure‑environment training, role readiness, and compliance discipline. - Support financial planning and forecasting activities for classified programs, ensuring accurate cost visibility and alignment with customer requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in DoD procurement, subcontracts, or supply chain leadership. - Demonstrated experience supporting classified defense programs, including TS/SCI and compartmented work environments. - Expertise in procurement compliance, FAR/DFARS, and secure supply chain processes. - Strong leadership experience managing supply chain execution across multiple programs or within a classified portfolio. Requirements - Mastery of procurement and subcontracting practices within controlled and classified environments. - Deep understanding of supplier risk, cybersecurity supply chain considerations, and secure procurement workflows. - Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills for both classified and unclassified programs. - Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders, customers, and classified program stakeholders. - Proven ability to lead teams in fast‑paced, high‑security environments with complex requirements and evolving mission needs. - Demonstrated leadership in developing talent, managing teams, and driving operational excellence. - Active Secret Clearance, desired. Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance, if needed. - U.S. citizenship is required. - Up to 30% CONUS/OCONUS travel. - Software: Microsoft Office 365 Suite. - Technology: Company-issued computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
