Title: Interpreter Resource Lead Location: Reston, VA, USA Full-time Clearance Requirement: None Compensation: USD0 - USD0 - yearly Company Description Founded in 1989, SOSi is among the largest private, founder-owned technology and services integrators in the defense and government services industry. We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide. The Interpreter Resource Lead reports directly to the Program Manager and is accountable for ensuring that Fulfillment operations are never resource-constrained — maintaining a pipeline of qualified, ready interpreters that meets the program’s language and location demands at all times. The interpreter pipeline encompasses both employee interpreters and a large independent contractor workforce. The Interpreter Resource Lead owns the end-to-end health of the full resource pipeline, from candidate entry through Ready-to-Work (RTW) status. Working in close coordination with the Talent Acquisition team, the Quality Management Team (QMT), and the IC Management Group, this role anticipates and reacts to Fulfillment’s requirements, enforces pipeline SLAs, and ensures the RTW pool is always positioned to support mission execution. In addition to end‑to‑end interpreter pipeline management, the Interpreter Resource Lead plays a key role in supporting recruitment efforts through strategic, demand-driven community outreach. This role develops and maintains external partnerships to expand the qualified interpreter candidate pool—particularly for high‑demand, rare, and hard‑to‑fill languages—and strengthens awareness of interpreter opportunities in support of language access and due process. Job Description Interpreter Resource Pipeline - Owns the end-to-end health of the interpreter resource pipeline, enforcing pre-determined SLAs across testing, training, and qualification milestones for both employee and IC resources - Serves as the primary interface with the Talent Acquisition team, establishing and adjusting Hot Lists of priority languages and locations to drive proactive sourcing against Fulfillment’s requirements - Monitors pipeline throughput, proactively identifies bottlenecks, and coordinates with Talent Acquisition, QMT, and IC Management Group to resolve issues; escalates to the Program Manager when resolution requires PM intervention - Analyzes the candidate pool on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities to expand language and location coverage within the RTW pool, prioritizing against Fulfillment’s current and forecasted requirements - Adjusts pipeline prioritization dynamically in response to Fulfillment’s shifting needs, ensuring RTW pool composition consistently aligns with operational demand - Coordinates the court site visit program across the Program Manager and Fulfillment staff, ensuring findings are documented and incorporated into pipeline prioritization and RTW pool forecasting - Provides regular reporting on outreach activity and its impact on interpreter pipeline growth for priority languages and locations. Community Outreach & Strategic Sourcing - Sets and adjusts community outreach priorities based on real-time pipeline health, Hot List requirements, and forecasted Fulfillment demand. - Leads targeted outreach efforts to build awareness of interpreter opportunities in high-demand, rare, and languages of lesser diffusion, focusing on activities most likely to produce qualified candidates. - Develops and maintains working relationships with community-based organizations—such as nonprofits, immigrant support groups, cultural associations, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions—that serve as practical referral sources for interpreter candidates. - Works closely with Talent Acquisition to identify and prioritize outreach opportunities, including community events, job fairs, and local partnerships, that align with current and anticipated interpreter demand. - Represents SOSi and the EOIR Language Services program externally, clearly communicating interpreter role expectations, eligibility requirements, and the importance of language access in supporting due process. - Maintains outreach contact records, tracks engagement with external partners, and monitors referrals and potential candidate leads through the early stages of the pipeline. - Reviews outreach outcomes to identify gaps, trends, or underperforming channels, and recommends adjustments to strengthen sourcing results for priority languages and locations. - Provides regular reporting to the Program Manager on outreach activity and its impact on interpreter pipeline growth for priority languages and geographic areas. Qualifications Recommended skills - Strong organizational and follow‑up skills, with the ability to track multiple priorities, outreach activities, and candidate leads simultaneously. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships. - Ability to work cross‑functionally with recruiting, operations, training, quality, and program leadership. - Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor alignment with established processes, timelines, and compliance requirements. - Ability to represent SOSi professionally and credibly with external community partners and stakeholders. - Understanding of language access, interpreter services, immigration court operations, or multilingual communities preferred. - Ability to analyze resource gaps and support data‑informed, proactive recruitment and sourcing strategies. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related field - Minimum three (3) years of directly relevant experience in workforce management, resource coordination, staffing operations, or program management - Familiarity with interpreter or language services operations strongly preferred; experience supporting federal government contracts a plus - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience working with workforce or scheduling databases - Demonstrated ability to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high operations-tempo environment - Effective communicator with the ability to manage relationships across internal teams, corporate support functions, and external stakeholders Additional Information Work Environment - May require periods of non-traditional work hours including evenings or weekends during peak operational periods - May require up to 25% travel in support of assigned tasks and program requirements - Position is based in Reston, VA; hybrid or remote arrangements subject to Program Manager approval and contract requirements Working at SOSi All interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.
