Role Description This role is for an experienced Business Development Officer for Corporate Debt Trustee and Business Escrow Agent services, offered by Computershare Corporate Trust. The primary territory will focus on a consolidated region within the US capital markets. New business calling efforts will focus on the target market, which is middle-to-large corporate markets, capital market and M&A-focused attorneys, law firms and other referral sources. Travel throughout the region such as representing the business at conferences and events and client development efforts is required. This position is for a Corporate Trust Sales Representative 2. Significant additional compensation opportunity in addition to a base salary can be derived from a commission-based Sales Incentive Plan and incentive bonus component. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships while selling Corporate Trust products and services to issuers of debt and those with business escrow needs, particularly for merger and acquisitions, to both existing and new customers with the highest potential for both current and future revenue generating targeted profit levels. - Develop and maintain strong relationships while selling Corporate Trust products and services. - Cold call on new relationship prospects. - Evaluate new business opportunities and manage sales proposal preparation. - Participate in service-related pricing decisions. - Identify and execute on product development and growth opportunities to expand the business. - Consistently market and cross-sell all related bank products and services. - Interact with centers of influence to build relationships and grow the portfolio. - Partner with Relationship Management team to develop their market knowledge, confidence, external-facing skills, and expertise to become thought leaders in these markets. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management in corporate trust services or related financial services. - Bachelor’s Degree and/or similar experience. - Versed in the fiduciary and operational risks associated with trustee, agent roles, and financial markets. - Experienced and existing relevant business network in the target markets. - Proven effectiveness in managing client relationships. - Proven collaboration and negotiation skills. - Experience forming or understanding pricing models.
