This is a hybrid role based in our Palo Alto office and will require you to be in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays. About the Job: - Working collaboratively with a brilliant cross-functional, cross-timezone team to make Grindr the best app it can be for its users - Able to work across multiple work streams and use ambiguity as an opportunity for high-level thinking - Create innovation by guiding data-driven decisions to adopt new technologies, architectures, and workflow - Elevate your team's technical proficiency; help your team adopt new tools and ways of working - Using Swift, Xcode, RxSwift, Combine, Async/Await, SwiftUI, Bitrise, Fastlane and Github, you will be evolving and maintaining the software architecture for current and future needs in order to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile products, while supporting the product roadmap Role Requirements: - You love taking ownership. You think beyond your team and know how to implement change across your organization - You have at least 6 years of experience building complex iOS applications - You have a well-built technical experience that inspires individual contributors' creativity and innovation - You have experience with product leadership and technical decision-making and know how to leverage that for good judgments and tradeoffs between product and code - You have been working closely with various levels of business stakeholders, from the c-suite, VP level, and down - You can jump into the code on a deep level but can also contribute to long-term initiatives by mentoring your team - Strong practical knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns such as MVVM, Coordinator, one-way data flow, modular architecture, performance optimization & metrics - Experience with Architecture at scale and have worked with different tech stacks outside of mobile You May Thrive in this Role if You: - Professional Experience with RxSwift or any functional reactive programming framework - Professional Experience with Coordinators and/or RxFlow Benefits and Perks: - Health, Dental & Vision Full premium coverage for you. Role Description We are looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to help build a world-class mobile experience used by customers every day. Qualifications - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years in cross-platform mobile development. - Expert-level experience with React Native and cross-platform mobile architecture. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript with experience building scalable typed codebases. - Experience building reusable component libraries using NativeWind or Tailwind-style frameworks. - Experience integrating headless CMS platforms (Sanity CMS preferred). - Experience implementing feature flags or experimentation platforms such as LaunchDarkly. - Strong experience with Expo (managed or bare workflows) and the broader Expo ecosystem. - Experience building mobile CI/CD pipelines (EAS, Fastlane, or similar) including automated builds and app store submissions. - Strong experience with automated testing using Jest and React Native Testing Library. - Experience implementing end-to-end UI automation testing using Detox, Maestro, Appium, or similar. - Experience with mobile observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or Sentry. - Working knowledge of Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android) for native module integration and debugging. - Experience delivering large, complex mobile projects with measurable impact. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Must be located in Latam. Nice to Have - Deep native mobile development experience in Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android). - Experience working with React Native New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules, JSI). - Experience with Expo Router or file-based routing systems. - Experience implementing over-the-air updates using Expo Updates or CodePush. - Familiarity with additional mobile observability tools such as Firebase Crashlytics. - Contributions to open-source React Native libraries or technical content. - Experience working in high-growth technology companies with strong mobile engineering cultures.
