We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. You will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure data flow and integration across our data ecosystem. Your expertise will help us to improve our data infrastructure, improve data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. • Our data team builds, augments, and maintains the infrastructure that empowers teams across Amplify and our customers to make sense of and tell stories with their data. • You’ll be building data systems, but also the sharing-and-learning culture so that every team uses these tools to improve their own lives, and those of our students and teachers. • Impress the toughest customers around – students – by: helping teams create fun, compelling apps by using millions of data points • Make life better for passionate teachers by: helping teachers understand their students by building reusable data pipelines • Make life better for passionate Data Science, Governance and Analyst teams by: Implementing and managing data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, databases) • Building and maintaining ETL & machine learning pipelines on AWS • Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to facilitate data access and utilization. • Ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations. • Analyzing and improving performance and squashing tricky bugs using tools like: Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, SQL, Python, Looker, Terraform, and Datadog

• Develop and maintain custom integrations and ETL processes between K-12 data and internal/external systems. • Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver robust, scalable solutions. • Maintain technical documentation for systems, data models, and processes. • Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues and respond to API changes. • Participate in cross-functional projects related to school operations, enrollment, attendance, and performance data. • Perform quality assurance (QA) on downstream data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with customer requirements.

• Maintain and optimize end-to-end ELT pipelines to ensure reliable, well-structured data flows into the warehouse. • Develop, test, and maintain scalable data models following modern data modeling and best practices. • Support data validation, testing, documentation, and governance across environments. • Contribute to metadata and lineage tracking, as well as standards for KPI modeling and data quality.
