Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre
Role Description The Manitoba Net Zero Innovation Network (MNZIN) serves as the operational engine driving Manitoba’s ambitious Path to Net Zero strategy. Designed to deliver the 2026–2029 Action Plan, MNZIN accelerates decarbonization by assembling expert teams and funding high-impact projects across three key economic clusters: sustainable agri-food, clean transportation, and the built environment. As an integral member of our Technology Adoption team, you will report to the VP of Technology Adoption to drive innovation and impact. You will lead program budget and proposal development, government reporting, strategic connections & network building in Manitoba, and oversee and execute all processes for programs, projects and initiatives. The successful applicant will be a true community builder who is passionate about reducing Canada’s climate impact through technology adoption. - Manage and oversee all aspects of Foresight’s MNZIN, including ecosystem and Indigenous engagement, oversight of strategic advisors, and financial and impact tracking/reporting. - Represent Foresight within the Manitoba ecosystem, expanding the organization’s national presence and creating opportunities beyond the MNZIN program timeline. - Design and implement a Manitoba-specific strategy that addresses Manitoba's specific needs and aligns with the MNZIN program goals. - Convene key Manitoba ecosystem members to identify shared challenges and scope tangible projects to drive meaningful solutions. - Manage and deliver the MNZIN built environment sector program. - Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with potential industry partners and funders to secure program funding, including private-sector matching dollars. - Coordinate the internal team of Program Managers and Coordinators supporting the MNZIN program. - Collaborate with other internal teams (Data team, Marketing and Communications, Operations, etc.) to ensure success. - Other duties as required. Qualifications - Post-secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience. - Minimum eight years of experience in government, nonprofit, or private sector. - Must have proven experience leading sales and fundraising activities; prior partnership experience is required. - Must possess strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and influence others, and lead junior team members. - Strong project and time management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. - Comfortable translating complex, ambiguous challenges into actionable operational plans. - Must have existing relationships within the Manitoba agriculture, built environment, or transportation sectors. - Previous experience managing the execution of multi-year public grants, including grant reporting, is an important asset. - Experience in the built environment, cleantech sector, or in corporate sustainability roles within Manitoba’s corporate sector is considered an asset. Requirements - Full-Time Contract (Remote – must be located in Manitoba). - This is a 1-year contract with the expectation of renewal and extension to a 3-year term, with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time role. - Rate: $95,000-$105,000 + benefits.
