Title: Senior Project Manager & Transformation Coach Location: United States Job Description: Banyan Software is the best permanent home for software businesses that serve specialized industries, their employees, and their customers. We are on a mission to acquire, build, and grow great companies worldwide, helping them modernize through shared AI expertise and operational discipline. The Banyan Software Foundation, endowed with $100 million in Banyan stock, leverages technology to build a greener and more equitable world. Banyan is Great Place to Work Certified, a five-time Inc. 5000 honoree, and a top 10 company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Atlanta, Banyan operates more than 100 portfolio companies across North America, the UK, EU, and APAC. About ASI (A Banyan Software Portfolio): ASI is a financial services organization at a pivotal inflection point. We are modernizing our technology infrastructure, scaling our client operations, and driving enterprise-wide transformation across multiple functions simultaneously. We are building from the ground up and we need a seasoned change leader to create our Project Management Office and own a 5-year transformation agenda that spans technology, operations, and client-facing initiatives. About the Role: We are seeking a transformational, execution-focused Director of Transformation & PMO to build ASI’s Project Management Office from scratch and lead cross-functional change initiatives that will define the company’s next chapter. This is not a transactional program management role. You will be the connective tissue across technology, business operations, and client-facing initiatives, reporting directly to senior leadership with visibility to the CEO, board, and investors. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, has a track record of building processes where none existed, and knows how to drive execution in a fast-moving financial services organization without relying on heavy corporate process overhead. The Role: - Build the PMO from the Ground Up: Design and implement ASI’s project management frameworks, tools, workflows, and governance where none currently exist. - Lead Cross-Functional Transformation Initiatives: Own projects spanning Salesforce optimization, technology modernization, business events, and client change management simultaneously. - Drive End-to-End Execution: Take projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through delivery, measurement, and sustained adoption, with full ownership of outcomes. - Present to Executive Leadership & Investors: Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes directly to the CEO, board, and investors on a regular basis. - Enable Business Teams to Execute: Coach and support talented employees who are running cross-functional projects alongside their day jobs without formal PM infrastructure or dedicated time. - Champion the Technology Modernization Agenda: Drive a multi-year transition from legacy infrastructure (remote desktop banking environments) to modern, cloud-based operations. - Eliminate Organizational Bottlenecks: Identify process gaps and build lightweight, scalable solutions that keep pace with a nimble organization, without creating bureaucracy. - Own the Salesforce Transformation: Immediately take charge of a complex Salesforce initiative requiring coordination across multiple business stakeholders with competing priorities. - Drive Organizational Change Management: Lead client-facing change management initiatives, ensuring seamless adoption of new processes, systems, and workflows. Qualifications for Success: - 7–10 years of project management experience in financial services or banking, with demonstrated scope across multiple business functions. - Background from smaller, multi-function financial organizations, not narrow-scope delivery roles at large corporate banks. You have seen and driven organizational scale firsthand. - Proven track record building PM infrastructure from scratch, frameworks, workflows, and governance — in environments without an established PMO. - Demonstrated ability to manage projects spanning CRM/technology platforms, business operations, and client-facing change management at the same time. - Strong business acumen, you connect project outcomes to revenue, risk, and client impact, not just delivery milestones. - Exceptional communicator comfortable presenting to C-suite executives, board members, and investors. - Self-starter with an ownership mindset, you drive outcomes independently, not just document and coordinate. You create structure in ambiguity. - Quantifiable achievements that demonstrate organizational impact: examples may include supporting ARR growth ($5M to $20M), documented process savings ($500K–$2M), or successful large-scale technology migrations. - Agnostic on methodology, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid. You focus on outcomes, not process labels, and adapt your approach to fit the organization’s pace. The expected base salary for this position is: USD $110,000 – $125,000 excluding annual bonus (5% performance bonus potential). Salary is based on several factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
