• Manage the drafting of copy across various platforms based on owned marketing activations, campaigns, and cross-team project support requests • Check the work of internal and external communications for any grammatical errors or typos, ensuring we are always putting out only the highest quality work and match the overall brand tone and voice • Work with internal subject matter experts to create educational resources, such as handbooks and guides, as well as social-first promotional copy for each resource • Work with our video editor to draft scripts for organic and paid social activations and campaigns • Write blogs and other online resources optimized for SEO, AEO, and GEO • Find creative ways to develop our brand voice, work with our data to identify what is/isn’t working well, and iterate on what can be improved upon • Demonstrate fair, ethical, and equitable business practices • Handle sensitive and confidential matters/ data with the utmost discretion and integrity • Learn eagerly, share knowledge appropriately, and improve continuously • Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines • Work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all work • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of belonging • Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience copywriting and copyediting in an agency or internal team environment for brand marketing
- Proficiency in:
- LGBTQ+ topics and discourse in media
- Google Suite (GMail, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Content development, including self-directed research and interviews, to support the creation of videos, guides, blogs, op-eds, and other brand related content
- Giving and receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative work environment
- Project management (Trevor uses Asana)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
