Financial Reporting Analyst

Mercor

Role Description - Build long-horizon technical accounting tasks with deterministic rubrics for agent performance evaluation. - Develop scenarios in external reporting with defined tie-out numbers and consolidations. - Create technical accounting tasks based on ASC 606/842/805 with documented conclusions. - Design policy and controls scenarios, including SOX narratives and statutory packages. - Work independently and focus on challenging tasks that require long sessions of concentration. Qualifications - BS or MS in Accounting. - 5+ years in controllership, technical accounting, or external reporting. - Expertise in ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, consolidations, SEC reporting, SOX. - Comfortable with controllership artifacts: financial statements, technical memos, consolidation workpapers, control narratives. - Clear written communication; articulate reasoning step by step and encode into deterministic rubrics.
