• Provide strategic leadership of indication- or client-specific portfolios within early development services, ensuring high-quality project delivery, effective risk and issue management, and strong financial and operational performance. • Lead and manage staff, including hiring, performance management, coaching, development, and employee relations; approve salary actions, resourcing decisions, and employee time, expenses, and leave. • Drive critical thinking and prioritisation in delivery execution, financial negotiations, and issue management. • Collaborate with stakeholders to align training, coaching, and development needs across teams. • Advocate for effective resourcing and balanced project assignments to support both business needs and career development.

• Serve as primary author who writes and provides input on routine documents such as clinical study reports and study protocols • May research, write or edit complex clinical and scientific documents • Review routine documents prepared by junior team members • Ensure compliance with quality processes and requirements for assigned documents • May assist in program management activities • Represent the department at project launch meetings

• Manage and support the full project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery and review • Handle project planning, risk management, stakeholder updates, and resource coordination • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones • Maintain accurate records of project plans, milestones, budgets, and status reports • Use relevant tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, and Microsoft Project • Support the wider team with sprint facilitation, retrospectives, and process improvements • Identify opportunities to optimise delivery timelines and improve project outcomes
