Senior Full Stack Engineer – Crypto Trading
Lazer Technologies
• Embed with client teams to advise and consult founders on building sophisticated trading platforms, order management systems, and real-time trading interfaces • Architect and develop high-performance trading UIs handling real-time data updates and complex user interactions at scale • Build and maintain backend proxy layers and APIs to support demanding trading application requirements • Design and implement component libraries on top of internal design systems, creating reusable patterns for dense trading interfaces • Integrate with existing APIs, data distribution layers, and trading infrastructure while maintaining low-latency performance requirements • Uplevel client engineering teams through mentorship, improved architecture, and enhanced engineering processes • Lead technical strategy discussions with clients, managing project timelines and expectations for complex trading platform builds • Help grow our team's technical capabilities by experimenting with cutting-edge tools and contributing back to the open source ecosystem
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in both backend and frontend software development, with significant experience building trading platforms (DEX, CEX, HFT, or similar high-performance trading systems)
- Expert-level proficiency with React and modern frontend state management patterns; experience with the TanStack ecosystem is a strong plus
- Strong experience with high-performance data visualization and real-time UI components for building dense, data-intensive trading interfaces
- Solid backend engineering skills with Go or similar systems languages; experience building WebSocket architectures and backend-for-frontend patterns
- Deep understanding of real-time data streaming, order management systems, and trading UI/UX patterns
- Experience with component library development and working within established design systems; strong eye for design and attention to detail in high-density interfaces
- Proven consulting/contracting experience or startup/agency background with strong client management and communication skills
- Self-sufficient professional who thrives with autonomy, moves fast with lean processes, and maintains high quality standards
- Deep expertise with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) for deploying and scaling high-performance applications
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
