Inside Sales Representative

Foresters Financial

• Deliver training to Financial Advisors on Canada Protection Plan and Foresters Financial products, services, software, as well as the completion of all applications and forms. • Initiate phone contact with advisors to begin or expand on existing relationships • Work in collaboration with Regional Sales Directors in executing a Marketing and Sales Plan for the region to generate sales and develop new business • Use of in-depth knowledge of our products and the insurance industry in general, and interpersonal skills to increase sales and onboard new business • Create, revise, and deliver presentations using Power Point software and Zoom • Manage and respond to inquiries through telephone, email, or in person in an accurate, timely, and professional manner • Attend planned events, webinars, and office trainings for advisors during evening and weekend hours, as required • Follow up as required on specific case situations with New Business, Underwriting, and Client Service to resolve outstanding concerns and support the territory • Create broadcast emails with pertinent marketing and product information • Participate in national, regional, departmental and project group meetings, sharing feedback and information • Involved in special projects as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the Financial Industry
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance products, and insurance industry trends and conditions
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle a wide variety of advisors professionally
  • Ability to influence and motivate
  • Superior organization and planning skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CFP and/or LLQP is an asset
  • Bilingual is an asset

This position will require 10% travel. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serves as the single point of contact and primary advocate for national sales customers strategically identified by managing director. Manages code red reporting on dead and slow-moving inventory. - Supports the on-boarding of new business from Business Development to National Sales & Service. - Works with US Foods Merchandising to provide Customer with exclusive brand opportunities that exceed/meet their product specification and price point. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in related field equivalent experience required. Related Experience: Minimum 5 years foodservice experience and demonstrated positive customer interfacing experience required. Minimum of 3 years foodservice sales experience required. Prior account/hospitality experience preferred. Experience interacting/managing multi-unit national accounts desired. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge of US Foods' proprietary applications preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to leverage relationships to achieve business goals. Strong collaboration skills and willingness to take direction and achieve professional growth thru ongoing coaching. Some overnight travel (10%) required.
