Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
- 2–5+ years of relevant field experience in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects (experience in transmission, substations, or energy projects is an asset)
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices, including earthworks, foundations, grading, drainage, and access road construction
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and apply findings in the field
- Familiarity with quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) processes and documentation
- Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is considered an asset
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and work in remote or outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
