This position can be based in Montreal, Brossard, or Quebec City, with 100% remote work available. - Reviewing proposals or project plans to determine schedules, funding limits, project execution procedures, staffing needs, and allocation of available departmental resources to different project phases. - Contributing to project strategies and deliverable prioritization. - Identifying and planning project deliverables, milestones, and activities, while coordinating stakeholder availability. - Providing leadership and motivation to the project team throughout the project lifecycle, and working with staff to define a work plan. - Acting as a coach for junior project managers, managers, and others in need of guidance on project management practices. - Developing work plans and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and coordinating the recruitment or assignment of project staff. - Analyzing project proposals to determine schedules, funding boundaries, and appropriate processes for project completion. - Implementing a project communication plan. - Conducting risk assessment and mitigation. - Monitoring project activities to ensure timeliness, quality, and integrity of information, while maintaining consistency in content and presentation across the organization. - Ensuring that project objectives align with the business unit’s objectives. - Ensuring project goals are achieved. - Assigning tasks and responsibilities to project staff and defining their level of authority. - Directing and coordinating project staff activities to ensure projects progress on time and within budget. - Reviewing project status reports prepared by staff and adjusting schedules or plans as needed. - Establishing standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. - Continuously evaluating project management performance to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen project/portfolio management capabilities. - Approving or setting the work plan of an external service provider or consulting firm engaged to execute the project (if applicable). Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or other relevant experience. - Seven or more years of IT experience at increasingly responsible levels, with sensitivity and commitment to solving business problems. - Five years of successful management of complex, high-risk projects. - Five or more years of experience in or working directly with a business unit (BU), with commitment to addressing business challenges. - Experience leading diverse teams. - Distinctive mix of business, IT, financial, and communication skills — essential given the role’s visibility and significant impact. - Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, and how other organizations use them to drive digital transformation. - Knowledge of project management methodology and familiarity with major program management frameworks (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile approaches). - Advanced knowledge of project planning/scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Open Workbench), with solid hands-on application. - Bilingual (English/French, spoken and written). - Strong expertise with Microsoft Modern Work (asset). - Familiarity with the construction business sector (asset). Role Description We are on the lookout for an IT Project Manager to join our PMO Department. - Manage full project lifecycle: from planning and kickoff to delivery and closure. - Requirements management: elicit, analyze, document, and support requirements throughout the project lifecycle. - Align project goals with business and tech teams, and make sure everyone’s on the same page. - Organize day-to-day work in the team: task tracking, prioritization, and follow-ups. - Maintain project documentation: roadmaps, status updates, risk logs, etc. - Run regular syncs and planning sessions with developers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders. - Track progress, identify blockers early, and adjust plans as needed. - Communicate clearly with all sides — keeping stakeholders up to date on status, risks, and changes. - Contribute to improving PM processes and tools inside the PMO. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience managing IT or software development projects. - Comfortable juggling several projects and working with distributed teams. - Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile (Scrum, Kanban). - Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence. - Strong communication skills, able to explain technical things in plain language. - Fluent in English and Russian — both written and spoken (B2+ or higher). - Well-organized, detail-oriented, and good at keeping things on track. - Able to handle deadlines, resolve conflicts, and keep the team aligned. • Manage the end-to-end delivery of HRIS projects, including application implementations, infrastructure upgrades, integrations, security initiatives, and data-related efforts. • Drive day-to-day project execution activities, including scope definition, work planning, dependency management, milestone tracking, and issue resolution. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to agreed technical and business objectives. • Support Agile delivery practices where applicable by facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. • Track sprint progress, manage backlogs in partnership with technical leads or product owners, and ensure impediments are addressed promptly. • Utilize the organization’s project and work management tools to track progress, tasks, and deliverables. • Maintain accurate project timelines, task assignments, and dependencies within approved tools. • Prepare concise, actionable status reports and dashboards to communicate project health, milestones, risks, and next steps to stakeholders. • Engage proactively with business stakeholders including HR, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Clinical leadership to gather comprehensive functional and operational requirements. • Facilitate cross-functional requirements sessions to ensure business needs are fully understood and accurately translated into technical deliverables. • Conduct stakeholder interviews, documentation reviews, and workflow walk-throughs to ensure a comprehensive view of existing operations. • Partner closely with IT teams—including HRIS, Infrastructure, Security, Data, and Clinical apps—to understand technical requirements and execution dependencies. • Serve as the primary point of coordination between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable project updates.
