Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer (Terraform) to design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This fully remote role focuses on Terraform module development and provider engineering, enabling scalable, secure, and automated Azure environments aligned with Microsoft best practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring platform reliability, governance, and continuous delivery across cloud environments. What You Will Be Doing: - Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules aligned to Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) architecture - Manage and enhance terraform-provider-alz, ensuring compatibility with evolving Azure services - Perform AzureRM provider upgrades, state management, and version migrations - Troubleshoot and resolve customer, partner, and internal escalations related to Terraform deployments - Build and maintain automated validation using Terratest (Go-based testing) - Ensure CI/CD pipeline integrity, including validation, testing, and release readiness - Support Terraform Registry publishing, including versioning and module lifecycle management - Continuously improve module quality, reusability, and documentation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with Azure governance, networking, and subscription models Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including: - HCL module authoring and design - Terraform state management and provider upgrades - Experience working with the AzureRM provider - Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services - Working knowledge of Go (Golang), specifically for Terratest or test automation - Experience with GitHub-based workflows (PRs, branching, version control) - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues Requirements - Experience developing or contributing to custom Terraform providers - Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation - Strong experience with Terratest for infrastructure validation - Knowledge of: - Azure networking (VNet, connectivity, security) - Subscription vending / multi-subscription design - Azure governance (Policy, RBAC, Management Groups) - Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments - Microsoft Ecosystem experience (FTE or Vendor) Company Description Beyondsoft is a leading mid-sized business IT and consulting company that combines modern technologies and proven methodologies to tailor solutions that move your business forward.
