We are looking for a collaborative and experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data team and help us turn raw data into high-quality, actionable insights that power both our external customer products and our internal decision-making. The remit and focus of the role is to work at the intersection of data engineering and business logic, ensuring our Medallion-based Snowflake warehouse is robust, scalable, and optimised for our next phase of growth. It’s a broad and exciting role, so we’re looking for someone up for a challenge - if you’re highly technical and a proactive problem-solver, this is the role for you. Core Responsibilities - Data Modelling & Transformation: Lead the development and maintenance of our dbt-enabled data models, transforming raw data into Silver and Gold layers within our Snowflake Medallion architecture. - Product Delivery: Build and optimise the data structures that power our customer-facing BI products, ensuring high performance and accuracy for our external users. - AI Integration: Architect and deliver high-quality data sets specifically designed to be consumed by both core applications, AI features and LLM-driven functionalities within the Arbor suite. - AI-First Workflow: Embrace and pioneer the use of AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate planning, architecting, and coding tasks, setting the standard for efficiency within the team. - Collaboration: Work closely with Warehouse Data Engineers to ensure upstream data quality. - Domain Exploration: Partner with Product Managers and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical schemas, bridging the product teams into the data function. - Data Integrity: Support the wider data team in maintaining rigorous data quality and observability standards, utilising Datadog and dbt tests to ensure one version of the truth. - Mentorship & Best Practice: Act as a Senior pillar for the analytics engineering community, performing code reviews and championing best practices. Qualifications - Data Warehouse & dbt Expert: Extensive experience building complex, performant data models within a modern warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks etc.) ideally using dbt. You should have a deep understanding of Jinja, macros, and dbt project structure. - SQL & Python: Mastery of SQL for analytics use cases is a must. You should also be comfortable using basic Python for data manipulation tasks that sit outside the standard SQL transformation layer. - Medallion Architecture: Proven experience working structured warehouse/lakehouse architectures, ideally within a Bronze/Silver/Gold framework. - Product Thinking: Experience building data products for external and internal customers, with an understanding of how to balance performance with deep analytical utility. - AI-First Mindset: A proactive interest in how AI is changing data engineering. You should be able to demonstrate how you use AI tools (like Cursor, CoCo or LLMs) to improve your output and how you prepare data for AI consumption. - Stakeholder Management: Ability to bridge the gap between technical data engineering and the needs of Product Managers and internal domain experts. - Ownership Culture: Demonstrable experience working in an environment where quality, performance, and observability are core responsibilities of the engineer. Bonus Skills - Power BI: Familiarity with Power BI (or Looker, etc.) for front-end visualisation and an understanding of how to optimise the data layer for BI consumption. - DataOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data (e.g., GitHub Actions) and automated testing frameworks. Benefits - The chance to work alongside a team of hard-working, passionate people in a role where you’ll see the impact of your work every day. - A dedicated wellbeing team who champion initiatives such as mindfulness, lunch n learns, manager training, mental health first aid training and much more! - 32 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays). Product Engineer
Role Description Pantheon is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Hosting Platform — the team responsible for the infrastructure powering 700,000+ websites and 17 billion monthly page views. You’ll work at the core of what makes Pantheon run: the systems that provision, serve, and scale sites across our Global CDN, Google Cloud infrastructure, and developer toolchain. We're looking for someone who has built or operated infrastructure at scale — at a CDN or edge provider, a developer platform, or a database-as-a-service company — and who brings AI-native instincts to the work: using AI tools to accelerate debugging, automate toil, and make better architectural decisions faster. At Pantheon, AI isn't a feature we're adding — it's how we work. You'll partner across Engineering, Product, and Security to shape the future of our platform, and make decisions that affect how hundreds of thousands of sites are built, deployed, and delivered every day. Qualifications - 10+ years of software development experience, with significant tenure building platform or infrastructure products - 5+ years of experience designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems - Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes), web server technologies (NGINX, PHP, Node.js, or similar), and infrastructure-as-code practices - Demonstrated ability to own and improve a production platform serving millions of concurrent users or requests - Proficiency in Go, Python, or equivalent systems-oriented languages Requirements - Define and drive the technical roadmap for platform reliability, scalability, and performance across hundreds of thousands of sites and billions of monthly requests. - Architect, build, and evolve the core services underpinning Pantheon’s hosting platform — including edge delivery, container orchestration, database services, and site lifecycle management. - Partner with product, security, and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and design iterative, high-impact solutions. - Balance immediate business needs against long-term architectural health, making principled trade-offs that keep the platform sustainable as it scales. - Provide technical leadership across the engineering organization — setting direction, reviewing designs, and raising the bar for quality, reliability, and operability. - Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, providing technical guidance and growing engineering talent across the broader organization. - Contribute to an engineering-wide culture of collaboration, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement. Benefits - Industry competitive compensation and equity plan - Flexible time off, sick days, and 13 paid holidays - Comprehensive medical insurance including Health, Dental and Vision - Paid parental leave (plus fertility, adoption and other family planning benefits) - In-office workspace (San Francisco & Chicago) - Monthly allowance for wellness, reading and access to LinkedIn Learning for continued development - Events and activities both team-based and company wide that inspire, educate and cultivate
