Technical Leader – Nuclear Deterministic Safety Analysis
General Electric - GE
• Provide support to the functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules • Work effectively and make positive contributions in a dynamic team environment • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations • Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables • Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring • Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions • Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 8 years nuclear power industry experience
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering (preferred)
- Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods and codes (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
- Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR
- Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
- Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment and determination
- Detail-oriented and accountable for results
- Communicate with credibility and confidence
- Display a strong drive for continuous improvement
