Senior Manager, SEC Reporting

Role Description The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will lead the preparation and filing of all SEC reports and oversee technical accounting matters to ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This role is critical in supporting the Company’s public reporting obligations, including other registration statements, periodic filings, and capital markets transactions. The position reports to the Corporate Controller coordinating and partnering with external auditors, legal counsel, and executive leadership to drive high-quality, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Financial Reporting: - Lead the preparation and timely filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and registration statements, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. - Oversee drafting of financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A while coordinating cross-functional reviews and managing XBRL reporting requirements. - Technical Accounting: - Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting conclusions for complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance. - Prepare comprehensive accounting memoranda and lead implementation of new standards impacting financial reporting and disclosure requirements. - Audit and Compliance: - Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on financial reporting and technical accounting matters, ensuring timely resolution of review comments and audit requests. - Oversee SOX compliance efforts and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). - Close and External Reporting Process: - Drive quarterly and annual close processes related to external reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to strict filing deadlines. - Strengthen reporting workflows and internal controls to improve efficiency and readiness for heightened regulatory scrutiny. - Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Partner with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to align external reporting with strategic growth initiatives and evolving regulatory expectations. - Provide financial insights and mentor team members to support a scalable, public-company-ready reporting function. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. - 7+ years of combined Public and Private accounting, and experience with other registration statements preferred. Requirements - Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. - Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting processes, technical accounting, and delivering strategic financial analysis. - Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, experience with technical accounting research and documentation, strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls. - Proficiency in financial reporting systems and SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva or similar). - Extensive experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
