Senior Analyst, Sales Compensation

• Lead the administration of complex, global sales compensation plans, including incentive compensation, bonus, and accelerator calculations for a diverse sales organization. • Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for the SPIFF compensation platform. Responsibilities include plan configuration, data integrity management, system testing, and troubleshooting. • Manage the investigation and resolution of complex incentive compensation inquiries and disputes, ensuring professional, timely, and accurate adjustments while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. • Ensure all compensation calculations and system configurations adhere to corporate policies and plan documents. • Conduct analysis of sales performance and compensation data to identify trends, accurately forecast incentive compensation payouts, and prepare insights for review by executive sales and finance leadership. • Proactively identify, design, and implement opportunities to streamline and automate sales compensation processes, significantly enhancing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across the function. • Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Accounting, and HR to ensure data integrity, process alignment, and compliance across all compensation activities. • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for the global sales team regarding plan details, policies, and system mechanics.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of direct experience in sales compensation administration, finance, or a related Sales Operations function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Salesforce SPIFF or expertise with other automated incentive compensation (ICM) platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, CaptivateIQ).
- Advanced Excel skills (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling) for managing large datasets and conducting ad-hoc analysis.
- Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM) and NetSuite (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Brilliant communicator with the ability to clearly explain complex compensation mechanics and policies to a diverse, global sales organization.
- A demonstrated growth mindset with a proactive approach to identifying system and process gaps and driving continuous improvement.
