Title: Revenue Auditor 3 (Multiple Books and Records Auditors) Location: Milwaukee United States Job Description: Position Summary These are objective level positions responsible for auditing multi-state corporations for income and franchise or sales/use taxes. Conduct audits that involve complex issues and work with taxpayers to resolve complex or disputed audit issues. You will spend most of your time performing the following responsibilities: - Examine the books and records of corporations to determine the correct tax liability. - Prepare electronic workpapers and reports setting forth adjustments to reflect the required correct tax liability. To see the full list of duties view the position descriptions below: Sales & Use Tax Section | Corporation Section Salary Information The starting pay rate for these positions is between $35.00 - $43.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Employees who have an active license as a certified public accountant in Wisconsin, or another state may be eligible for an additional add-on of $1 per hour. The classification of these position is Revenue Auditor 3, which is in Pay Schedule 07, Pay Range 03. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current state employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.
