Role Description A telephony Clinical Dietitian delivers expert nutritional guidance through HIPAA-compliant telephone or video consultations. This role supports clients in achieving their health goals by developing personalized nutrition plans and offering ongoing support remotely. Key Responsibilities - Conduct nutrition assessments via phone or video, considering medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits. - Develop and monitor individualized meal plans tailored to client needs. - Use motivational interviewing (MI), stages of change (TTM), and strengths-based counseling techniques. - Schedule and conduct follow-up calls to track progress and adjust plans. - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. - Document all interactions in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with privacy regulations. - Educate clients on chronic disease management, weight loss, and general wellness. - Respond to client inquiries via phone, video, or secure messaging platforms. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field. - Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) credential. - Licensure in applicable state(s), if required. - Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload. Preferred Skills - Familiarity with digital health tools (e.g., BMI calculators, glucose monitors). - Experience with elderly or chronic care populations. - Bilingual abilities (a plus for diverse client bases). - Knowledge of insurance documentation and billing for telehealth services.
