Tax Analyst
Vantage Data Centers
• Own and maintain tax trackers, calendars, deliverable lists, and status reporting to ensure deadlines are met and workstreams stay aligned. • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and follow-ups (e.g., invoices, fixed asset/support schedules, project costs, entity details, property/site data). • Organize and maintain audit-ready documentation, including supporting schedules, email trails, and workpaper archives. • Perform tie-outs and variance checks between source systems and tax workpapers (e.g., GL to supporting schedules). • Support preparation and review of workpapers by validating completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data. • Assist with reconciliations, rollforwards, and documentation packages used in filings, audits, and internal reviews. • Support income tax-related processes through data gathering, reconciliation, and workpaper organization (e.g., entity lists, attributes tracking, support for advisors). • Assist with tax workflows: tracking notices/deadlines, organizing jurisdictional documentation, compiling data requests, and supporting payment/assessment support as needed. • Help track and support tax credits & incentives: collecting project documentation, maintaining eligibility/support files, and assembling reporting packages. • Contribute to special projects tied to growth (new sites, acquisitions, entity changes, process improvements, and system enhancements).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field; CPA, MST or CMI preferred.
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Mix of public accounting and similar industry experience a plus.
- Efficient with Office 365 in a Windows environment
- Problem solving skills, communications skills and ability to deal with a variety of situations in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with technology, including learning new financial systems and supporting process improvements
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and comfort maintaining clear and consistent financial documentation
- Experience in the real estate/construction industry (preferred not required)
- Experience with Yardi Voyager and tax software (preferred not required)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter, ability to operate independently in fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves
