Sales Executive – Quantum Security
IonQ
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting security-focused enterprise and commercial organizations • Identify opportunities related to quantum-safe encryption, cybersecurity resilience, and post-quantum readiness • Build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, CISOs, IT leaders, and executive decision-makers • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, negotiation, and closing • Collaborate with core sales, engineering, & technical teams to tailor solutions that align with customer security needs • Educate customers on the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity and encryption • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools • Represent IonQ at industry events, conferences, and client engagements
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in cybersecurity or advanced technology sectors
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in complex, consultative sales environments
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (encryption, threat landscapes, compliance frameworks)
- Experience selling to large enterprises or government agencies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
- Strategic thinking and solution-oriented selling
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management
- Self-starter with high accountability and ownership mindset
