Global Time & Attendance Product Strategy Lead

Remote

• Partner with T&A, Payroll Operations, Product, and Implementation teams to integrate country-specific labor law requirements (working time regulations, overtime rules, rest periods, CBAs, statutory accruals) into system design and configuration • Ensure compliance reviews are built into project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, configuration validation, testing, and go-live readiness • Advocate for compliance to be embedded from the outset rather than addressed after implementation • Work with country compliance and legal experts to interpret statutory obligations (maximum working hours, mandatory breaks, overtime calculations, accrual logic, record retention, etc.) • Translate legislative requirements into clear system configuration rules, technical specifications, and operational controls • Convert complex legal language into actionable requirements that Product and Operations teams can implement consistently • Serve as the central compliance point of contact for all T&A-related initiatives, aligning Compliance, Product, Payroll Operations, and Implementation teams • Establish governance checkpoints and review processes that ensure regulatory alignment without slowing delivery • Define global standards while accommodating country-specific legal requirements • Identify compliance gaps or control weaknesses before they create operational or regulatory exposure • Assess potential impact in collaboration with subject matter experts • Recommend practical corrective actions, prioritize remediation efforts, and escalate material risks when required • Coordinate internal and external audit requests relating to Time & Attendance systems and processes • Partner with country compliance experts and operational stakeholders to compile complete, accurate, and defensible documentation • Ensure audit evidence and control documentation are delivered on time • Track remediation actions resulting from audit findings through to closure • Develop and maintain T&A compliance documentation, including control narratives, process maps, risk registers, and change logs • Set documentation standards that ensure processes are transparent, traceable, and audit-ready across all operating countries • Ensure compliance impact assessments are incorporated into system and process change management

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with global payroll Time & Attendance systems (e.g., Workday Time Tracking, UKG, ADP, Ceridian Dayforce) across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong understanding of T&A compliance requirements, including working time directives, overtime calculations, rest period enforcement, accrual methodologies, and statutory record-keeping obligations
  • Knowledge of how collective bargaining agreements influence T&A configuration and operational processing
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable system controls
  • Ability to interpret labor legislation and translate statutory requirements into operational controls and system functionality
  • Experience coordinating audit responses and preparing compliance documentation for regulatory or internal review
  • Track record of identifying and mitigating compliance risks in multi-country environments
  • Strong project management skills, with experience embedding compliance into agile or hybrid delivery frameworks
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Operations, Implementation, Legal, Compliance) without direct authority
  • Experience establishing governance structures that balance risk management with business enablement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience creating structured documentation that withstands audit and regulatory scrutiny
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with country-based compliance experts and global stakeholders across time zones.
