Founding Product Manager

Surgical Data Science Collective (SDSC)

• Define and own the product roadmap for SDSC’s surgical video analytics and data science tools across multiple domains (computer vision models, SVP features, admin console). • Translate user needs and research objectives into technical requirements and prioritized product milestones. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. • Manage product lifecycle from ideation and prototype to validation and deployment. • Gather and synthesize feedback from our users to continuously refine products. • Establish metrics to measure product success and adoption across partner institutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, biomedical sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or product management certification a plus.
  • +5 years of product management experience, ideally in health tech, medical AI, or data-driven platforms.
  • Proven track record leading products from concept to launch, preferably within regulated or clinical environments.
  • Strong technical fluency — able to collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists, and translate complex clinical or research needs into clear product requirements.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with experience defining roadmaps, KPIs, and product success metrics.
  • Excellent communicator skilled at managing cross-functional stakeholders across technical, research, and clinical domains.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, distributed, and mission-driven environment.
