A Day in the Life • Place emphasis on delivering value through the development and deployment of software engineering and DevOps solutions which leverage excellent software engineering practices • Work collaboratively with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and business SMEs (Process Engineers, Automation Engineers, Reliability Engineers, other business domain experts) in providing software engineering and DevOps capabilities which are critical to delivering data driven solutions • Work collaboratively across DT to ensure proper architecture, security, exception handling, testing, and code development standards are adhered to • Leverage deep software development expertise, code development standards, CI/CD practices, system design, and advanced technologies, to enable the delivery of data-driven projects • Design and develop technical platforms, frameworks, and applications, to provide data, business intelligence, and information • Network internally and externally to build relationships that foster technology transfer and collaboration • Assist with the promotion of digital transformation, training and development of other Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and other peers throughout the organization You Bring This Value • BS (MS strongly preferred, and PhD desired) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field • 0+ years professional hands on software development experience with a BS, MS or PhD • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team • High level of enthusiasm and a love for software development, DevOps, and CI/CD infrastructure • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, including strong data, technical, and mathematical knowledge and skills • Strong Python and/or Java programming and scripting skills • Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, IaC, Terraform, and/or CI/CD frameworks • Specialty skills in large scale computing, cluster computing, and/or cloud computing (Azure preferably) • Experience with Linux, Unix, Git, GitHub Actions, and software development testing frameworks Preferred Qualifications • MS or PhD preferred • 2+ years’ experience with a BS degree • Strong programming and scripting skills in other languages, such as C#, C++, Julia, or Scala • Experience with VS Code • Experience in providing software engineering solutions in various Data Science domains, such as Predictive Maintenance, Forecasting, Real Time streaming analytics, Image Analysis leveraging deep learning methodologies, and/or optimization Competencies Build Partnerships Drive Innovation Grow Capabilities Promote Inclusion Motivational Fit Technical Skills Deliver Results What We Offer We offer an environment where we encourage personal and professional growth and where you will be rewarded for your performance and results.
