Role Description One of our operating companies, Centrered IT, is looking for a Business Development Manager in Sydney. As the Business Development Manager at Centrered, you will work closely with the CEO to drive new business growth and revenue. This is a high-impact role focused on generating Monthly Recurring Revenue and Professional Services opportunities within the Sydney market. This is a fully remote position, with travel required for in-person client meetings within Sydney. The main office is Canberra-based, giving you flexibility to work remotely while staying connected to a high-performing team. Responsibilities - Partner with the CEO to execute the sales strategy and achieve growth targets - Identify, prospect and convert new business opportunities across SMB and mid-market clients - Lead client meetings, uncover needs and present tailored IT managed services solutions - Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage your pipeline through CRM - Collaborate with Marketing to drive lead generation and campaign alignment - Prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close profitable deals - Track and report on pipeline performance, forecasts, and conversion rates - Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities - Attend industry events and networking opportunities as required - Collaborate internally to ensure a seamless client experience from sale through to delivery - Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing post-sale engagement where needed - Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and reporting within CRM and PSA systems Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years in a Business Development or similar sales role (MSP experience highly desirable) - Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets - Strong network and ability to generate leads independently - Experience with Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace solutions - Solid understanding of the IT managed services landscape - Demonstrated consultative selling and full sales lifecycle management - Strong commercial acumen with a focus on pipeline, forecasting and conversion - Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills - High level of CRM discipline and pipeline management - Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work autonomously - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Benefits - Sydney-based fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy - Direct exposure to leadership and strategic decision-making - Dedicated professional development time - Collaborative and growth-focused team culture
