Job Description

Director, Operational Risk Management

Cornerstone Capital Bank

• Lead the development and implementation of the operational risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls • Identify and assess operational risks across the organization, using a range of risk assessment techniques and tools • Collaborate with business units and departments to develop and implement risk management processes • Monitor the effectiveness of operational risk controls and identify opportunities for improvement • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of operational risk professionals, including setting performance objectives, providing coaching and mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations • Collaborate with other risk management functions, such as credit, market, and liquidity risk, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk management • Participate in the development and implementation of the bank's overall risk appetite and risk management strategy • Prepare and present reports and presentations on operational risk management to senior management and the board of directors

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, business, or risk management
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in the banking industry
  • Proven experience leading the development and implementation of operational risk management frameworks and policies
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and tools, such as risk mapping and scenario analysis
  • Experience leading and managing a team of professionals
  • Relevant risk management certifications preferred
