Role Description As our first in-house finance hire, you will own the accounting function end-to-end and build it from the ground up. - Own the full monthly and annual close process, driving toward a best-in-class close timeline - Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for board and investor reporting - Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across our US, UK, and Canadian entities - Own revenue recognition for a mixed hardware and software business with recurring revenue - Manage hardware COGS accounting including inventory, BOM costing, and depreciation schedules - Evaluate, select, and implement a modern ERP and supporting finance tools (billing, AP automation, expense management) - Build automated workflows to streamline close processes, reconciliations, and reporting - Coordinate with external tax advisors for US federal/state, UK, Canadian, and transfer pricing compliance - Manage debt facility reporting including draw tracking, covenant compliance, and interest calculations - Establish and maintain internal controls appropriate for the company’s stage and growth trajectory - Prepare for and support external audit readiness - Prepare a month end close package including budget vs. actual commentary Qualifications - 6–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years at a venture-backed startup - Experience as the sole or primary finance person at a company of 30–150 employees - Strong technical accounting skills: revenue recognition (ASC 606), inventory and hardware accounting, multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations - International accounting experience (US + at least one non-US jurisdiction) - Ability to independently produce investor-grade financial statements and board packages - Experience implementing or migrating ERP systems - CPA certification Requirements - Familiarity with modern, AI-native finance tools (e.g., Rillet, Ramp, etc.) - Experience supporting a fundraise (Series B+): data room preparation, investor Q&A, financial due diligence - Experience with RaaS - Experience with debt facilities or equipment financing - Experience in aviation, logistics, robotics, or automation solutions

• Drive the development and execution of country payrolls across the EMEA region accurately and timely • Effectively lead, manage, deploy and utilise the EMEA Payroll team resources to deliver on all EMEA Payroll activities • Drive cost reduction across payroll team and platforms in the region, adopting standardised services where possible to ensure operational effectiveness • Recommend ongoing process improvements to enhance the quality/reduce the cost of Payroll services • Own the outsourcing relationship with Payroll Providers, including contracts, financials and performance management • Responsible for the end-to-end Payroll process, including preparation, processing, post-Payroll and associated tax filing, in coordination with the outsourced payroll solution provider • Ensure compliance and control requirements are met and coordinate and manage the production of all external compliance reporting and deliverables • Ownership of the preparation of required reports and/or payment to government agencies, insurance companies or other organisations • Ensure all ERS/EES Pension contributions are calculated, paid and reported to the relevant investment funds timely and accurately • Support the internal audit and external audit requests as necessary • Support EMEA HR Director and local HRBPs to help resolve Payroll related issues, employee benefits in kind, irregular payments, employee or vendor inquiries • Ensure all employee related matters are appropriately dealt with and/or escalated via HR where relevant • Remain current on all EMEA and local regulations involving Payroll matters and understand payroll related accounting principles • Write and review payroll procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance, standardisation and control • Prepare the timetable, requirements and task lists for the monthly activities for executing each payroll, manage and monitor the activities to ensure a smooth and timely close

Assistant Controller New York, NY Direct (Permanent) $ 130,000 - $ 160,000 per year Our client, in the legal space, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. This is a newly created role where you will be reporting to and partnering with the Controller to oversee a range of general accounting operations including financial close, reporting, auditing, maintaining the General Ledger and ensuring GAAP Compliance. You will be a part of a collaborative accounting department and work closely with the FP&A, Financial Technology, and other teams.   The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in both public accounting and in-house accounting with time in a supervisory/management role. CPA is preferred. They are looking for a candidate who can operate in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work collaboratively with a larger team. Workday experience is a plus as they have recently implemented the system. The position is remote with the option to come in once a month with the team to their New York City Office.
