Job Description
Senior Implementations Consultant
Vic.ai
Role Description We are seeking a Senior Implementations Consultant to lead and evolve the customer onboarding experience at Vic.ai—an AI-first platform transforming how finance teams operate. This is not a traditional implementation role. You will help customers rethink their Accounts Payable workflows through applied AI, automation, and intelligent process design. As a key member of our team, you will drive scalable, AI-enabled implementation strategies that ensure enterprise customers achieve rapid time to value and successful Go-Live readiness. Reporting to the Director of Implementations, you will play a critical role in shaping how AI is deployed in real-world finance environments—turning complex AP processes into autonomous, high-performing systems. What Success Looks Like in This Role - Lead complex, AI-driven implementation projects with minimal oversight - Translate Accounts Payable workflows into optimized, AI-powered solutions - Operate as a trusted advisor to finance and accounting leaders - Demonstrate strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders - Mentor team members on both implementation excellence and advanced AI utilization - Actively leverage AI in your own workflows to drive efficiency, quality, and scale - Identify opportunities to automate and redesign customer processes using AI—not just improve them incrementally - Continuously refine implementation methodologies to scale with the business - Build deep expertise in the Vic.ai platform, including configuration, training, and optimization - Contribute to a culture of innovation - setting the standard for how AI is used across the team What You’ll Do - Lead AI-Driven Implementations - Own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle—from deal close through full adoption - Design and deploy AI-enabled AP workflows that improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability - Guide customers through process transformation, not just system setup - Build Scalable Implementation Frameworks - Develop repeatable, AI-first implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices - Identify opportunities to productize implementation learnings into scalable solutions - Drive Cross-Functional Execution - Partner closely with Integrations, Product, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success - Ensure alignment across technical, operational, and customer stakeholders - Deliver Successful Go-Lives - Lead project planning, execution, and risk mitigation - Manage timelines, resources, and communication across multiple workstreams - Track performance and continuously improve implementation outcomes - Champion AI Adoption (Elevated Expectations) - Demonstrate hands-on, daily use of AI tools to enhance your own productivity and output - Bring forward new tools, techniques, and approaches as the AI landscape evolves - Educate customers not just on what Vic.ai does, but how to operationalize AI across their finance function - Push beyond basic automation—drive true transformation in how AP work gets done - Mentor and Lead - Coach junior consultants on implementation strategy, customer engagement, and AI application - Raise the bar for how implementations are delivered across the organization - Standardize and Scale - Partner with Operations to define implementation standards - Support partner-led implementation models with clear frameworks and guidance What You’ll Need - 7+ years of experience, including 5+ years in software implementations (ERP, finance systems, or adjacent) - Strong Accounts Payable domain expertise strongly preferred (invoice processing, procure-to-pay workflows, financial operations) - Proven experience implementing solutions within finance or accounting environments - Demonstrated ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder projects to completion - AI & Technology Mindset (Non-Negotiable) - Proven track record of actively using AI tools in your day-to-day work (not just familiarity or interest) - Demonstrated ability to apply AI to solve real business problems and improve outcomes - Continuously learning and staying current with emerging AI capabilities, tools, and best practices - Strong point of view on how AI can transform finance operations, particularly within Accounts Payable - Comfort experimenting, iterating, and pushing boundaries with new technologies - Execution & Leadership - Expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, and project execution - Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills - Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities - Client & Communication Excellence - Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills - Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value - Confident communicator with executive-level presence - Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or similar certification is a plus Why This Role Matters This is a high-impact role at the center of how Vic.ai delivers value. You won’t just implement software—you’ll help define how AI transforms finance operations at scale. This role requires someone who doesn’t just understand AI—but actively uses it, experiments with it, and pushes its limits every day. If you’re energized by the idea of combining AI, automation, and deep AP expertise to fundamentally change how companies operate, this role is built for you.
