Accounting Specialist - Europe Europe What Makes Us Unique  At Cloudbeds, we're not just building software, we’re transforming hospitality. Our intelligently designed platform powers properties across 150 countries, processing billions in bookings annually. From independent properties to hotel groups, we help hoteliers transform operations and uplevel their commercial strategy through a unified platform that integrates with hundreds of partners. And we do it with a completely remote team. Imagine working alongside global innovators to build AI-powered solutions that solve hoteliers' biggest challenges. Since our founding in 2012, we've become the World's Best Hotel PMS Solutions Provider and landed on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 again in 2024 but we're just getting started.  How You'll Make an Impact As a Customer Support & Onboarding Specialist - Accounting (Europe), you will help our European hotel customers unlock the full potential of Cloudbeds' financial and accounting capabilities. You will work directly with clients and their accounting teams to guide them through end-to-end accounting configuration — from chart of accounts mapping and tax setup to ERP integrations and fiscal compliance — ensuring every property is set up correctly and running smoothly from day one. This is a customer-facing role requiring equal parts hospitality accounting expertise, technical curiosity, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed. If you thrive behind a spreadsheet but prefer not to engage with customers directly, this role is not the right fit. Our Onboarding & Accounting Integration Team We sit at the intersection of hospitality expertise and technical execution — solving real financial challenges that hotel operators face every day. We move fast, collaborate closely with Engineering, Support, and Sales, and take genuine pride in helping customers connect their financial backbone to Cloudbeds. If you love solving problems that actually matter to the people you are helping, you will feel right at home here. What You Bring to the Team - Guide European hotel clients through full accounting onboarding including chart of accounts mapping, VAT configuration, revenue recognition setup, reconciliation workflows, and country-specific fiscalization requirements - Translate each customer's unique business processes — night audits, folio management, accounts receivable, month-end close — into a properly configured Cloudbeds environment - Support integrations between Cloudbeds and third-party accounting platforms and ERPs including QuickBooks, Xero, M3, NetSuite, Sage, and other European regional systems - Troubleshoot accounting discrepancies, integration sync issues, and configuration questions with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach - Serve as the internal subject matter expert on European hospitality accounting practices and fiscal compliance, including country-specific invoicing frameworks - Contribute to onboarding documentation and best-practice resources for European hospitality accounting workflows - Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay customer feedback and help shape the roadmap What Sets You Up for Success - 5+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience specifically within the European hotel or hospitality industry — required - Proven experience configuring or supporting integrations between a hotel PMS and accounting or ERP software (M3, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or comparable) — not theoretical; you have done this - Deep knowledge of European fiscal compliance requirements — fiscalization, VAT frameworks, and country-specific invoicing standards are core to this role, not a bonus - Strong customer-facing communication skills — you are comfortable and confident engaging directly with hotel clients and their accounting teams via phone and video daily - Fluent in English plus at least one additional European language — Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, or Italian strongly preferred - Comfort navigating SaaS platforms and adopting new tools quickly with minimal hand-holding - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to trace data flows, identify mapping issues, and troubleshoot integration problems methodically Bonus Skills to Stand Out - Prior hands-on experience in hotel operations — front office, night audit, or revenue management - Familiarity with fiscalization requirements across multiple European countries (e.g., Portugal SAF-T, Spain SII, Italy SDI) - Active personal use of AI tools or workflow automation — we are building a team that embraces technology and learns continuously What to Expect - Your Journey with Us  Behind Cloudbeds' revolutionary technology is a team of redefining what's possible in hospitality. We're 650+ employees across 40+ countries, bringing together elite engineers, AI architects, world-class designers, and hospitality veterans to solve challenges others haven't dared to tackle. Our diverse team speaks 30+ languages, but we all share one language: a passion for innovation and travel. From pioneering breakthroughs in machine learning to revolutionizing how hotels operate, we're not just watching the future of hospitality unfold – we're coding it, designing it, writing it and shipping it.
