Job Description

Senior Director – Marketing

PortPro

• Own and execute PortPro’s end-to-end marketing strategy across product marketing, demand generation, content, brand, and field/event marketing. • Lead product marketing: positioning, messaging, launches, sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and customer storytelling for a category-defining product. • Drive demand generation programs (paid, SEO, lifecycle, ABM, partner, and event-led) that produce qualified pipeline and measurable revenue impact. • Partner with Sales to build a tight, accountable feedback loop on ICP, message-market fit, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity. • Translate a technical, AI-enhanced platform into clear, compelling stories for drayage operators including owners, dispatchers, and operations leaders who don’t have time for jargon. • Build, run, and report on a marketing budget with discipline. Know your CAC, payback, pipeline coverage, and source-of-pipeline numbers cold. • Hire and coach a small, high-leverage team over time starting by being hands-on yourself. • Represent PortPro at industry events, on webinars, and in customer conversations. You’ll be a voice of the brand, not just the strategist behind it.

Job Requirements

  • Proven progression, not just a senior title.
  • Scrappy and hands-on.
  • Marketing all the way through.
  • Product marketing chops.
  • Demand gen operator.
  • Domain edge (a strong plus).
  • Excellent writer and storyteller.
  • Data-driven, but commercially minded.
  • AI-fluent.

What you Will Own - Own the entire demand side for Tradecraft: from initial contact through to driving active, recurring volume - Identify, contact, and develop trading opportunities across retail and institutional segments, and build the systematic approach that scales it - Lead and manage wallet integrations end to end: WalletConnect, swap and LP integrations with top wallet providers, and the ongoing relationships that keep them active - Drive integrations with trading platforms and institutional trading infrastructure - Onboard asset issuers onto Tradecraft the moment they go live on the Canton Network - Design and execute trading incentive programs that generate real, sustainable volume - Own and continuously improve the competitive benchmark for execution quality - Serve as the voice of the market back to the Product team with the ability to translate what you hear into clear, actionable requirements - Activate and build on existing relationships across the Canton ecosystem to accelerate distribution Qualifications - Experience building trading volume in environments such as the Canton Network, other emerging institutional blockchain networks, new DeFi protocols, or trading infrastructure platforms in early growth stages - Deep familiarity with DeFi market-making dynamics and what it takes to attract and retain serious liquidity - Demonstrated experience closing and managing wallet integrations from negotiation to technical onboarding - Experience working with institutional counterparties, asset managers, market makers, trading desks, or custodians in a digital assets or fintech context; strong relationships with wallet providers, exchanges, or institutional trading firms relevant to the Canton ecosystem (Canton experience a plus) - A track record of building commercial partnerships or distribution channels from the ground up - Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable operating in ambiguity, creating structure, and thriving without a large team or set playbook
