Role Description As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll support end-to-end payroll processing across the US, Canada, and LATAM—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, and Tech to improve systems, automate workflows, and scale processes using tools like macros, scripts, and AI. You’ll also track payroll KPIs, manage documentation and reporting, and maintain strict confidentiality at all times. - Support and contribute to end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries (US, Canada, LATAM), ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. - Liaise with managers to ensure timely review and approval of hourly employee time sheets. - Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tech to support ongoing improvements to our HRIS and payroll systems. - Contribute to maintaining compliance with international payroll, tax, and labor requirements. - Drive documentation, reporting, and process ownership for recurring and ad hoc payroll needs. - Participate on the design and implementation of automated workflows, including Excel/Google Sheets macros and custom scripts to improve payroll operations, reduce errors, and speed up delivery. - Build scalable, auditable custom processes using AI tools to fill gaps where off-the-shelf software falls short—ensuring alignment with company growth. - Build and track performance KPIs such as error rates, processing times, and response SLAs to monitor and improve payroll operations. - Exercise the highest degree of confidentiality related to all sensitive payroll information. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or another related field. - 3+ years of previous experience in Payroll processing. - Deep understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, and labor law across at least 2 of the following: US, Canada, LATAM. - Advanced user of Google Sheets/Excel. - Experience of process improvement and automation, ideally with no-code tools or HRIS customization. - Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, HR, and Tech teams. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment. - Excellent level of English is required. Requirements - Advanced knowledge of automation tools such as macros and scripting languages (e.g., AI, Google Apps Script) is a strong plus.
