Medical Manager

Nox Health

Role Description This is an integral position within the company as it will allow for more detailed/complicated acclimation cases to be addressed with the expertise and timeliness required for a smooth and successful sleep treatment path. The Medical Manager will utilize a case management approach and maintain a patient case load of ongoing medical cases utilizing knowledge and resources available to provide individualized care. - Utilize the telehealth platform to support a wide range of clinical sleep programs including case manage positive airway pressure (PAP) instructions, oral appliance therapy (OAT) referrals, patient therapy adherence on PAP related treatments and other telehealth platform supported clinical treatments. - Coordinate participant care via the telehealth platform using supported communication tools that interact with patients, medical professionals and medical equipment personnel to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of participant care issues. - Work with other clinical teams to ensure an exemplar participant experience and to foster a “right-the-first-time” culture. - Collaborate with the medical team members including the Medical Director, NP’s, Respiratory Therapists, Sleep Techs, MA’s to develop, maintain and apply medical protocols in the telehealth program for SleepCharge. - Support Medical Management teammates with daily duties as needed. - Establish exceptional customer service relationships with participants and staff as demonstrated by voice tone, written correspondence and verbiage. - Review sleep studies via the phone/internet for PAP patients. Assist in escalating compliance issues to the proper level of care. - Respond to inquiries and requests from participants or other personnel within given time frames and within established policy. - Other duties/projects as assigned by Medical Management leadership. Qualifications - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent level of education. - 2+ years experience in sleep is also a high consideration if the above qualifications are not met. - Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities. - Evidence of exceptional interpersonal skills. - High level of professionalism and a strong ability to interface with employees in all positions. - Demonstrated team player. - Solid problem solving skills. - Works well independently as well as in a team environment. - Experience delivering telehealth care via phone or video conferencing technology. - Experience working within a clinical healthcare environment. - Experience working with NP’s and physicians. - Experience in sleep, neurology or pulmonary medicine is highly desired. - Knowledge of pharmaceuticals used in sleep medicine is helpful. - Knowledge of operating and maintaining a PAP device, pressure changes, PAP equipment (i.e., mask styles/types) and sleep-related DME supplies.
