IT Network Specialist

Role Description The Network Specialist is responsible for day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, and ensuring network stability and security. They monitor and maintain the network infrastructure, resolve connectivity issues, and implement security measures. They also provide user support and training and collaborate on network upgrades and expansions. This position is eligible for remote work. Qualifications - Experience in the Healthcare Industry is preferred. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. - Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. - Proven ability to administer the Office 365 Suite, including configuration management, application deployment, and patch updates. - Ability to obtain knowledge and skills on the job or through educational courses. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. - Polite, professional, and courteous. - Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to effectively sustain multiple, simultaneous tasks. - Available to work flexible schedule and additional hours as required, including nights and weekends. Requirements - Supports and maintains servers, networks, desktop hardware, software, and applications. - Identity Management in Entra, active directory and OneLogin. - Group Policy cleanup, design and implementation. - Management and maintenance of mobile devices in Intune and Apple Business Manager. - Support on/off boarding of employees and devices. - Maintains the backups, security management, user account management, e-mail systems, internet access, office systems and application support. - Maintains current firewall and VPN architecture. - Review/support current WAN and LAN infrastructure including various remote connectivity. - Management of various software systems to support infrastructure including SIEM, RMM and other management tools. - Ownership of Patch Management and application cleanup. - Maintain and evaluate security systems and security protocols. - Management and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure, such as Microsoft Office 365 or Azure. - Basic phone and voice mail system administration and maintenance. - Be a point of escalation for other staff for resolution of technical support issues. - Documentation of network infrastructure and applications. - Ability to manage projects of various sizes according to agreed-upon budgets and schedules. - Required to be part of the on-call rotation of the IT team. - Provides support for peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, cameras, etc. - Supports outside presentations for continuing education presentations that are sponsored by supported practices. Benefits - Hourly wage of $30 - $36 based upon experience. - 6.5 paid holidays per year + 2 Floating holidays. - Approximately 10 days of PTO within first year. - Full slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401k. Physical Demands and Work Environment - Physical Activity: Standing, stooping, reaching, walking, lifting, keying, talking. - Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform each activity of the position. - Occasional travel is required for this position and requires a valid driver’s license.
