Role Description UN Women seeks a national consultant to support the development of a National Action Plan on Ending Violence against Women (NAPVAW). The main objective of this consultancy is to support the Royal Thai Government in the development of Thailand’s second National Action Plan on Ending Violence against Women (NAPVAW). - Develop the consultancy workplan. - Conduct a Desk Review and develop an inception report. - Conduct and facilitate a series of multi-stakeholder consultations. - Draft a National Action Plan on Ending Violence Against Women (NAPVAW). - Conduct validation workshops of the draft NAPVAW. Qualifications - Master’s degree or higher in Gender Studies, Social Science, Public Policy, or related fields. - A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in gender equality, gender and development, and/or human rights. - Proven experience in drafting and/or contributing to publications related to national action plans and policy briefs. - Skills and experience in teaching, research, and facilitation of trainings or workshops are an asset. - Experience working on violence against women, gender-based violence, or related social issues is an asset. - Previous experience with UN Agencies, international organizations, or multi-stakeholder partnerships is an asset. - Excellent writing skills in English and Thai required.
