Paralegal - US Sales Contracting

Role Description Provide legal support within the US Sales Contracting organization on topics including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs, commercial sales agreements, and other commercial contracts. This position will report to a Paralegal Manager and is remote to enhance competitive edge and cross-functional collaboration efforts. - Provides legal assistance within the US Sales Contracting organization in areas including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs and commercial sales agreements. - Assists in reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial contracts and related documents. - Interacts with attorneys, pricing and contracting analysts, contract managers, and customers to finalize contract negotiations. - Processes legal requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic contracting standards and best practices. - Collaborates with other legal teams, functional leaders, and operating units to support improvement and harmonization of contracting processes and systems. - Triages issues presented to the US Sales Contracting organization, meets with internal contracting and business clients, and provides direction and escalation as needed. - Partners with other subject matter experts across a global, matrixed organization. - Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys or other paralegals. - May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations. - Assists internally in analyzing documents. - Participates in other projects as assigned or as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate with 2+ years of paralegal or legal experience; or, an advanced degree. - Paralegal Certificate (NICE TO HAVE). - Experience drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating various agreement types (NICE TO HAVE). - Exceptional performer with a high degree of self-motivation (NICE TO HAVE). - Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously while appropriately prioritizing each (NICE TO HAVE). - Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with and influence all levels of leadership and executive management (NICE TO HAVE). - Ability to work independently (NICE TO HAVE). - Excellent customer focus (NICE TO HAVE). - For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
