Senior Event Technology Project Manager

Role Description The Sr. Event Technology Project Manager will serve as both a lead and consultant on medium-to-large events simultaneously, including marquis events with 10,000+ attendees, portfolios and event series, and other high-touch projects. - Responsible for project managing event registration and attendee-facing digital platforms. - Work with clients and stakeholders to scope, build, launch, and maintain digital event experiences. - Manage onsite operations for related workstreams, including badge pick-up, attendee check-in, attendee help desk, session scanning deployment, and content management functions. - Client-facing role, working alongside Opus Project Managers, Technical Architects, Housing Managers, and Attendee Support team members. - May fill roles as an independent workstream lead or as a lead of the entire Event Technology & Registration team. - Ensure planning deadlines are met, budgets are maintained, and client needs are anticipated and exceeded. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in a relevant role, with strong preference for experience in corporate events. - Preferred experience with event management tools such as Rainfocus, Swoogo, Stova, Cvent, Eventbase, Airtable. - Proven experience in management of small, high-touch events requiring discretion and diplomacy. - Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution is preferred. - Supervisor experience preferred. Requirements - Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors for all event technology and registration workstreams. - Serve as the overall Opus project lead on small to mid-sized events with exclusively event technology and registration services. - Understand all workstreams supported by Opus Event Technology and Registration. - Oversee all assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects across event types. - Develop, maintain, and drive workback schedules. - Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of attendee-facing event technology projects. - Demonstrate proficiency in digital platforms and tools; consult clients on configuration best practices. - Create and maintain internal process documentation. - Manage documentation and content for platform/tool builds. - Lead complex client and team meetings, including platform demos and technical discussions. - Proactively identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies. - Deliver projects within time and budgetary requirements. - Oversee complex onsite deployments, including for badge pick-up and session scanning. - Lead and contribute to internal trainings and resources.
