Role Description Room to Read is seeking a Book Publishing Project Lead to drive delivery of a children’s book publishing project in Senegal. This consulting role will lead coordination of local authors, illustrators, and publishers to develop and produce 10 French-language children’s storybooks for distribution in schools. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused opportunity for someone who can manage partners, move work forward, and ensure high-quality outputs are completed on time. - Lead identification and engagement of local publishers, authors, and illustrators - Drive the selection process for partners and creatives, including application review and coordination - Plan and deliver writers’ and illustrators’ workshops, ensuring strong execution and outcomes - Coordinate and actively follow up with writers, illustrators, editors, and designers to keep manuscripts and illustrations moving to completion - Support review and refinement of content to ensure quality and readiness for layout and printing - Oversee timelines and dependencies across all workstreams to ensure on-time delivery of all outputs - Coordinate field testing and ensure feedback is incorporated into final materials - Liaise with designers and review book layouts prior to final production - Identify and coordinate with local printers to prepare for printing and distribution - Ensure all deliverables are quality checked, completed, and properly documented - Support vendor coordination and payments - Deliver a final report summarizing outcomes and key learnings Qualifications - The qualified consultant will be a Senegalese national currently living in Senegal - Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, e.g., Education, Literacy or related field - Full professional fluency in spoken and written English and French - Experience leading or managing projects with multiple stakeholders and firm deadlines - Strong knowledge of the publishing, education, or creative sector in Senegal - Ability to identify, engage, and manage authors, illustrators, and publishing partners - Experience planning and delivering workshops or structured group sessions - Experience supporting content development workflows (writing, editing, illustration, or production) - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and push work forward - Proven ability to drive deliverables to completion and maintain momentum across contributors - Experience working with external vendors (e.g., designers, printers) and coordinating outputs - Strong attention to detail with the ability to review drafts/layouts and provide actionable feedback Requirements - The contracted amount will be a fixed fee, not to exceed $2,000.00 USD. - Please submit a CV and cover letter outlining your qualifications for the consultancy. - A detailed Scope of Work will be shared with shortlisted candidates. Role Description GFT is seeking a Project Manager for our Buildings + Places Federal Market. This PM reports to the B+P Projects & Program Management Discipline Lead. This position manages all aspects of project execution including budget, scope, and schedule while leading the project delivery team. This PM is our primary POC for client engagement and is responsible for providing excellent customer service. Additionally, this position assists with identifying new federal business opportunities and leads project-level proposal development. This position can be remote. If selected, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams of architects and engineers through the full project lifecycle from inception to completion. Role Description Responsible for ensuring quality and compliance of activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work. This includes maintaining and verifying implementation of the site quality plan to ensure that contractual, legal, and internal requirements are met. The Site Quality lead coordinates and reports on site quality activities and on the related quality interfaces, maintaining communications and alignment with client, project team, subcontractors, quality engineer, and site manager on quality-related issues and scope of work. - Lead all site quality activities and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements. - Develop, implement, and maintain Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). - Review work procedures and method statements to ensure alignment with project specifications and good work practices. - Coordinate and participate in site inspections, testing, audits, and monthly quality reviews. - Serve as the primary site quality interface with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. - Manage non-conformances, deviations, snag lists, corrective actions, and quality follow-up activities. - Verify incoming materials and equipment meet approved submittals and project specifications, including proper handling and storage. - Ensure quality records, inspection reports, turnover documentation, and closeout packages are complete and compliant. - Support lessons learned, continuous improvement, and site quality awareness through communication and training. - Partner with site leadership to stop work when safety or quality issues impact compliance or project execution. Qualifications - Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred. - 5+ years of experience in site quality, site management, commissioning, construction, or project execution in utility, substation, HV, EPC, or industrial environments. - Experience developing and implementing Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans for high-voltage or turnkey projects. - Strong background in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management Systems. - Experience leading quality activities in the field and working directly with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Working knowledge of electrical construction, commissioning, substation installation, or related infrastructure projects. - Strong understanding of safety, EHS, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements on customer sites. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document control systems, NCR management tools, SAP, or similar systems. - Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to travel up to 90% across North America. Requirements - Experience in EPC project quality leadership. - Background supporting substation upgrades, expansions, or new-build projects. - Internal or second-party audit experience; ISO 9001 audit knowledge preferred. - Relevant field credentials such as OSHA 30, Journeyman, Master Electrician, or similar certifications. - PMP certification or strong site/project management experience is a plus.
