Role Description As a senior data analyst on the data and analytics team, you’ll closely partner with different teams, both technical and non-technical, to identify new customer insights and assist in enhancing business operations that impact millions of customers in Canada. Join our innovative Analytics team as a senior data analyst. What you’ll do: - Lead problem research, insights exploration, metrics design, and data storytelling to provide actionable recommendations on business operations and product roadmaps. - Optimize cost and revenue potential via opportunity analysis, forecasting, or simulation. - Design and build experiments to measure the impact of technology and operational changes that affect millions of customers. - Create self-serve dashboards to track KPIs and support insights exploration. - Partner with leaders in Marketing, Audience Segmentation, and Loyalty to identify strategic growth opportunities for Best Buy. Qualifications - 4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or related role. - Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with data analysis, visualization, and statistical libraries. - Experience working with REST APIs to programmatically gather data, including authentication, pagination, and transforming API responses into analysis-ready datasets. - Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience querying and modeling data in Snowflake. - Experience creating clear, insightful visualizations using libraries such as matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly, as well as dashboarding tools like Power BI. - Experience working in the marketing domain (e.g., media mix, campaign measurement, attribution, customer acquisition/retention) is considered an asset. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or related field. - 6-8 years of experience in HR analytics, reporting, data audit, or workforce analytics. - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation). - Experience working with HRIS systems (Workday, Dayforce, etc.). - Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI. - Strong data visualization and storytelling capability.
