Job Description
Senior Integration Engineer – SAP, Enterprise Interfaces
Glückliche Gäste GmbH
• You will build the integration domain of the Personal.manager (PM) as an engineer — not merely as a middleware configurator. • REST endpoints for master data and lookups, and event- and webhook-based output for transactional data (absences, time entries, shift schedules, entitlements, payroll-relevant status changes). • DB outbox pattern, worker logic, retry and dead-letter handling. • Integration with EMQX as an internal event bus. • Versioned payload contracts and an auditable integration history. • Implement flows programmatically: custom scripts, adapter logic, and transformations. Keep PM ↔ SAP mappings testable and versioned. • Build clear error channels and perform technical coordination with our customers' SAP teams.
Job Requirements
- You write code daily.
- You routinely build REST APIs and event-driven integrations in Node.js/TypeScript (or a comparable stack).
- You are familiar with PostgreSQL.
- You have hands-on experience with the tools of robust integrations: outbox pattern, idempotency, retry strategies, dead-letter queues, webhooks, MQTT/AMQP brokers (EMQX, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.), structured logging, correlation IDs, and versioned contracts.
- You think of interfaces as systems with clear contracts.
- An integration is not “finished” for you until it runs unattended overnight, recovers from errors, and makes the events transparent.
- Especially valuable: experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration / CPI), particularly its programmatic extension points (Groovy scripting, custom adapters, custom flow logic).
- Experience with regulated customer environments, DMZ gateways, and audit-compliant logging.
- Experience with SaaS platform architectures, API design, and event-driven architectures.
Benefits
- 100% remote, hybrid, or on-site in St. Wendel.
- Competitive salary reflecting experience and responsibility.
- 30 days vacation.
- Modern office with a shower, washing machine, and an espresso machine.
