Role Description We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in cloud architecture, platform engineering, site reliability, DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud security, FinOps, and structured cloud infrastructure workflows. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured cloud infrastructure review, enterprise workspace design, cloud workflow documentation, platform engineering scenarios, reliability workflows, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their cloud computing expertise to review realistic infrastructure scenarios, evaluate technical requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based cloud workflow tasks. Key Responsibilities - Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Workflow Review - Review cloud infrastructure scenarios involving multi-account environments, multi-region architecture, hybrid cloud setups, capacity planning, architecture documentation, and platform workflows. - Evaluate cloud architecture materials against documented requirements, operational constraints, security expectations, and technical standards. - Support structured review of architecture docs, RFCs, runbooks, capacity plans, infrastructure diagrams, and technical workspace materials. - Identify missing assumptions, configuration gaps, workflow issues, and expected cloud infrastructure outcomes. - Platform Engineering, DevOps & SRE Support - Review platform and reliability scenarios involving CI/CD workflows, internal developer platforms, incident post-mortems, production operations, observability, and automation. - Evaluate DevOps and SRE materials against source documentation, reliability targets, runbook expectations, and operational requirements. - Support structured review of Terraform or Pulumi workflows, GitHub Actions or CircleCI pipelines, Datadog or Splunk materials, incident reports, and SRE review decks. - Prepare clear written explanations for cloud and platform engineering decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria. - Cloud Security, Compliance & FinOps Review - Review cloud security and governance scenarios involving access controls, identity workflows, SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, cost reports, and FinOps processes. - Evaluate cloud cost, compliance, and security documentation against defined criteria, expected controls, and operational requirements. - Support structured review of Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, cloud access workflows, cost optimization materials, and compliance documentation. - Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, production engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud security, cloud FinOps, or related technical roles. - Experience with one or more major cloud or data platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments. - Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Datadog, Splunk, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar cloud and platform systems. - Comfort reading and preparing technical artifacts such as architecture docs, runbooks, RFCs, incident post-mortems, capacity plans, cost reports, SRE review decks, and workflow documentation. - Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills. - Ability to translate cloud and infrastructure workflows into clear, structured task documentation. Educational Background - A degree or professional background in computer science, cloud computing, information technology, systems engineering, cybersecurity, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field is helpful. - Equivalent practical experience in cloud operations, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, cloud security, or enterprise infrastructure workflows is also highly relevant. Nice to Have - AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, Kubernetes, DevOps, security, or FinOps certifications. - Experience with AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, CKA, CKAD, SysOps, DevOps, or related certifications. - Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, cloud governance, identity systems, cloud cost optimization, or enterprise compliance workflows. - Experience preparing or reviewing cloud architecture docs, incident reports, runbooks, CI/CD workflows, capacity plans, cost reports, or reliability documentation. - Strong attention to detail in technical, security-sensitive, and infrastructure-heavy environments.
