Senior Automation Specialist, Underwriter
AAA Life Insurance Company
• The Senior Automation Underwriter combines knowledge of life insurance underwriting with effective programming and analytical techniques. • Monitors underwriting process automation to ensure outputs align with company standards. • Identifies areas to improve automation throughput, reduce mortality slippage and create efficiencies in the underwriting process. • Analyzes large volumes of data using Excel, SQL, Python or other tools to identify gaps in risk selection processes. • Trains and coaches underwriters on the use of automation and reporting tools. • Supports the development and deployment of changes to existing underwriting systems and tools
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- 5+ years working in life insurance underwriting (Required)
- 2+ years working with data analysis and process automation tools (Excel or SQL or Visio or Python, etc.). (Required)
- Experience working with an insurance underwriting rules engine (Preferred)
- Industry education/certification such as FLMI, ACS, CLU, or FALU (Preferred)
