Instructional Design

PPLSI

Role Description The Instructional Designer manages, designs and develops employee learning programs in align with organization goal and training needs. Consults with subject matter experts to provide course content and training curriculum. Tracks employee performance and measures training outcomes and conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. The Instructional Designer will identify the skills, knowledge, and close the communication gaps to deliver high-quality training for the employees. Responsibilities - Design engaging in-person, virtual, and blended learning experiences aligned with business goals and learner needs. - Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create practical, high-impact learning solutions. - Develop and oversee creation of learning assets including: - eLearning modules - Virtual instructor-led training materials - Instructor-led training materials - Job aids - Guides - Performance support tools - Design instructional audio, video, graphics, activities, role plays, case studies, and simulations that enhance learning engagement. - Develop role-based learning paths and reinforcement activities that support knowledge retention and on-the-job application. - Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex content into clear, learner-centered learning experiences. - Consult with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to assess learning needs and recommend effective training solutions. - Support large-scale initiatives such as system implementations, process changes, and transformation efforts through structured learning strategies. - Align learning objectives with business goals and performance outcomes. - Utilize learning technologies and authoring tools to design and deliver digital learning experiences. - Develop online and blended learning solutions using platforms and tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, iSpring, Camtasia, and Creative Cloud. - Research and integrate emerging learning technologies and concepts to enhance training programs and learner engagement. - Develop learning objectives and evaluation methods that measure training effectiveness and learning impact. - Measure learner engagement, knowledge retention, and application of training through feedback and data analysis. - Use insights and performance data to refine and enhance learning experiences and training programs. - Ensure learning solutions remain relevant, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs. - Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations. - Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure training deliverables align with implementation timelines and organizational priorities. - Gather and incorporate stakeholder and learner feedback to continuously improve training programs and learning assets. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Learning and Development, or a related field required. - Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered required. - Three to five years of experience designing corporate learning solutions required. - Demonstrated experience developing online and blended learning programs required. - Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles required. - Experience with learning technologies including learning management systems and content authoring tools required. - Experience with tools such as Adobe Captivate, Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline, iSpring, Camtasia, Envato, or similar platforms preferred. - Strong visual design skills with the ability to storyboard learning experiences effectively required. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required. - Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners required. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business information and translate it into learning solutions required. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required. - Experience supporting HRIS or enterprise system implementations required. - Experience supporting Dayforce implementations preferred. - Experience supporting change management or large-scale organizational transformation initiatives preferred. - Project management experience preferred. Physical Requirements/ Work Environment - Work is primarily performed in an office or remote environment with extended periods of sitting and working at a computer. - Requires the ability to use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment for extended periods of time. - Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, video conferencing, and in person. - May require occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 pounds). - Ability to travel occasionally for in-person training sessions, meetings, or organizational initiatives, as needed. - Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Must be able to adapt to changing business needs, priorities, and technologies.
