Accounting Manager

• Prepare month end financial statement close procedures and consolidate all business units • Prepare and review journal entries, as well as balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis ASC 606 Revenue Recognition • Develop and maintain a timely monthly financial reporting package in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures • Establish relationships with all business unit owners to develop a working cadence for financial information and business performance metrics and reporting • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements • Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments and debts • Coordinating activities of external auditors • Assist the Director of Accounting with accurate and timely financial reporting
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA, CMA preferred)
- Experience with ASC 606/340
- Experience with Workday ERP
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task in fast-paced tech environment
- Ability to work with multiple business lines and senior executives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to learn and to take on a variety of tasks
- Experience in a tech industry environment

• Serve as the working leader overseeing the daily operations of the Claims Accounting Department to ensure efficient workflow, accuracy, and timely completion of all tasks • Partner with the Manager and HR to support department leadership functions, including monitoring daily workflows, performance management, attendance tracking, scheduling, and timecard review • Adjust workloads as needed to maintain productivity, service levels, and quality standards • Prepare monthly financial statements and related reporting for clients, as well as other financial documents requested by internal or external stakeholders • Support the Accounting Manager with preparation of Corporate financial statements • Work directly with client financial auditors and present financial statements at client board meetings • Process and review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions, including invoices, cash receipts, vouchers, and other financial entries • Oversee provider database maintenance, including data entry, updates, W‑9 collection, verification through government websites, additions, and deletions • Oversee all aspects of client bank account funding, including daily fund review, request processing, and ongoing tracking • Manage and analyze Access and Excel databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting data • Build, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets and reporting tools to support decision‑making and operational needs • Provide scheduled and ad‑hoc detailed check reports and other customized financial or operational reports based on customer specifications • Supervise, train, mentor, and develop Accounting Coordinators to build a high‑performing and engaged team • Review and ensure quality and accuracy of work prepared by Accounting Coordinators • Support departmental growth through ongoing improvements in processes, efficiencies, workflows, and systems • Identify, recommend, and support implementation of efficiencies and automation opportunities within Claims Accounting • Participate in innovation initiatives, process improvements, and automation projects assigned by the AVP of Claims Management • Support various special projects, departmental initiatives, and other assignments as directed by management • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

• Lead an accurate and timely month-end close process by driving solutions at scale that benefit cross-functional teams and our reporting goals. • Perform thorough review for corporate accounting related processes and transactions, such as compensation/commissions, long-term assets, operating expenses, and consolidation to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, appropriate documentation for external reporting and audit/SOX requirements. • Develop, motivate and manage a distributed high-potential accounting team across the U.S. and collaborate with offshore accounting teams in India, fostering high performance and accountability. • Lead and inspire AI and automation transformation of corporate accounting processes, and collaborate closely with Business System to design and execute initiatives from roadmap to execution. • Lead collaboration with our cross functional partners, such as Finance & Strategy, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Procurement, including but not limited to variance analysis, periodic business review results, and establish new processes when needed. Communicate the accounting implication to stakeholders across the organization. • Streamline and enhance processes and SOX compliant controls.
