Role Description We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data features utilized by hotels globally. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting and evolving our cloud-based (AWS) decision support environment, providing opportunities to contribute to innovative solutions within the hospitality industry. - Develop and own new data solutions from conception to deployment, employing best practices in data design. - Analyze existing use cases by reviewing code in Python, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis, and SQL. - Deconstruct complex problems into manageable tasks for streamlined analysis. - Accurately estimate workload and deliver quality features that align with product requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Strong experience in software development with SQL, Python, and ETL technologies. - Proven ability in implementing complex, high-volume data transformation solutions. - Experience in designing and modifying data infrastructure to enhance data analysis and reporting. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. - Strong interpersonal abilities and management capabilities. - Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of working effectively in dynamic environments. - Availability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support. Requirements - Familiarity with AWS Aurora, AWS Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS Kinesis is preferred but not mandatory. - Experience with collaboration tools such as Atlassian Tools, DevOps, and CI/CD practices is a plus. - Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS and Logi Report (JReport) is advantageous. • Conduct comprehensive time and motion studies to establish standard work parameters. • Analyze and redistribute workloads to eliminate bottlenecks and deploy a customized Lean toolkit (5S, Kanban, and SMED) to reduce changeover times. • Evaluate production capacity against new product requirements and demand forecasts. • Calculate required headcount and machinery (CapEx) and provide data-driven justifications for capital equipment procurement. • Develop optimized 2D/3D plant layouts to maximize square footage. • Streamline material flow to reduce transit waste and perform workstation assessments to ensure operator safety and minimize fatigue. • Perform detailed cost analyses per process step to identify high-variance areas. • Monitor OEE, yield rates, and labor efficiency KPIs to lead targeted continuous improvement projects aimed at unit-cost optimization. • Develop and document formal work instructions compliant with quality and safety standards. • Facilitate DFM/DFMA reviews during design phases to ensure seamless manufacturability.

• Prepare and manage FDOT Driveway Connection Permit applications, including technical documentation and coordination with FDOT reviewers. • Develop Traffic Impact Statements (TIS) for cities and counties throughout Florida. • Conduct operational analyses and traffic modeling using Synchro/SimTraffic, including scenario development and LOS evaluation. • Perform traffic signal design, including plans, timing sheets, and coordination plans in alignment with FDOT and local agency standards. • Prepare technical reports, design documents, and supporting calculations. • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and permitting agencies. • Support multidisciplinary teams on transportation engineering projects.
