Role Description Our Engineers are at the forefront of how customers interact with C2FO. Working with our Product team, we create applications for internal and external customers. Our philosophy: short iterations with a focus on scalability while ensuring maintainability. Qualifications - Minimum three years of experience as a Software Engineer - Bachelor's or higher degree or its equivalent - Necessary Experience on: - Javascript - NodeJS - ReactJS/AngularJS - HTML - CSS - Relational database (PostgreSQL) - RESTful or GraphQL APIs - AWS or GCP or other Cloud - Work experience in a microservice & event-driven architecture - Message queuing (e.g., RabbitMQ/Kafka/SNS) - Work Experience in Distributed Systems - Experience and Basic Knowledge & Understanding of System Design (HLD, LLD) & Architecture - Experience on building frontend to backend flow/feature Requirements - Concerned with the success of their teammates as well as themselves. - Respectful towards teammates regardless of their abilities. - Collaborate with C2FO's Engineering, Product, DevOps, and operational stakeholders to define and refine requirements, break down work into smaller tasks, and provide accurate estimations. - Work with minimal help on big slices of work/requirements that require high level and low level design and external dependencies while tracking and pushing the work through the process reliably. - Take ownership of the codebase and process and contribute to any required improvements. - Willing to debate, obtain, and move forward with the best solution. - Always digging deeper to understand the problem space and the 'why' of your work. - Vigilant in identifying tech debt and always improving how we do things. - Persistent in facing roadblocks; dispatches them efficiently, pulling in others as necessary. - Proficient communication in English, both written and verbal. - Comfortable with source control, especially GitHub. - Engage in contributing to improve processes, take technical decisions, improve technical systems to steer the team towards the team and C2FO goals. - Solicit feedback from peers, teammates, and managers to identify improvement areas and take steps to learn and grow. - Passionate about testing, code quality, continuous integration. - Uphold our high engineering standards and consistently deliver quality code & documentation. - Mentor and guide other engineers, creating a collaborative learning and working environment. - Suggest, Share, plan for, and implement new tools or processes to help the team or engineering be more collaborative, effective, or efficient. - Improve our documentation and document design decisions and rationale. - Take part in the on-call rotations. - Strong problem solving skills. • Provide clear direction, guidance, and mentorship to a team of software engineers. • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team. • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and supporting career growth. • Collaborate with Product Owners to define and prioritize user stories and backlog items. • Serve as the Agile advocate and coach for the team, promoting Agile values, principles, and practices. • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Ensure the team adheres to Agile methodologies and continuously improves their Agile processes. • Monitor and manage the team's progress, identifying and addressing any obstacles that could hinder the sprint's success. • Work in collaboration with different functions of the organization including Product, User Experience Design, Customer Success, Sales and Service Delivery. • Work with the Customer Success team to support clients and manage incidents, manage and lead support developers and participate in the rotating on-call schedule • Plan, prioritize, and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely project delivery. • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, assisting with architecture decisions, code reviews, and problem-solving. • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and encourage their adoption within the team. • Ensure the team follows coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality, identify potential issues, and promote continuous improvement. • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across other teams or departments. • Identify skill gaps within the team and provide training, guidance, and opportunities for skill development. • Promote a culture of learning and growth, encouraging team members to enhance their technical and soft skills.

• Be a key contributor to a cross-functional, Agile product delivery team. • Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and architects to deliver scalable, sustainable, and engaging product experiences. • Work AI-native: use Cursor, Claude Code, MCPs, and AI-assisted code review as part of your everyday workflow. • Help run and measure experiments - form a hypothesis, ship it, read the results, decide what's next. • Participate in our Engineering community to learn new trends in the industry, or share best practices that you think will benefit the community.

• Build and operate web applications and the APIs that power them • Collaborate with non-technical members to iteratively prototype and develop new customer features • Work across Engineering teams to maintain and improve shared AWS infrastructure • Grow projects from design to betas and upgrade betas to use at scale • Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the teams systems • Guide all team members to follow good engineering practices • Partner with product managers and outside stakeholders to align technical strategy with business priorities
