Storage & Backup Administrator

Expleo Group

• Administer enterprise storage and backup infrastructure systems. • Provide technical support to users (connectivity, performance, troubleshooting, storage, backups, etc.). • Manage backup clients, schedules, and retention policies. • Monitor and evaluate storage and backup service performance. • Coordinate replacement of failed Backup, Storage, and SAN components and ensure service restoration. • Create and maintain detailed technical and graphical documentation. • Develop and update tools and scripts to automate and improve storage and backup operations. • Lead complex projects involving storage solutions in mid-to-large environments. • Provide on-call support on a rotation basis outside business hours. • Perform additional duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in enterprise storage and backup administration across heterogeneous environments.
  • Strong experience with enterprise storage platforms, including: NetApp ONTAP (FAS, vNAS/file/object services, SolidFire); Dell PowerStore or equivalent block storage platforms; CEPH.
  • Experience in provisioning, performance troubleshooting, lifecycle maintenance, and incident resolution in production environments.
  • Solid knowledge of SAN and storage transport technologies, including Cisco MDS Fiber Channel fabrics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity between hosts and storage.
  • Strong understanding of storage replication, data protection technologies, and host integration best practices.
  • Experience with OS-level storage tuning and performance optimization.
  • Extensive experience with backup and data protection platforms such as Dell EMC Avamar, Dell EMC Data Domain, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Experience managing backup policies, retention, client onboarding, and recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with disk-based and tape-based backup architectures.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (Ethernet switching, TCP/IP, routing basics, LACP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in structured enterprise environments, following processes and procedures.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Strong ownership, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines.
